Hummock's station was a pleasant surprise. Set in the heart of South Australia, close to the renowned wine tasting region of Clare, it is the perfect location for a get away. Affordable choice for a large group, where you can hire out the entire station, with it's lovely cottage and country feel, and enjoy the kitchen and outdoors. The serenity was welcoming, with the rooms overlooking vineyards and country Australia. The rooms were sweet and clean, with choices for ensuite or shared bathroom. Merry and Roger (and their two beautiful pups) were wonderful hosts, very kind and hospitable, offering advice regarding wine tasting, plane flights over the area, and buses. I would recommend Hummock's station to anyone, whether it be a family, group or couple.

A great spot for a 'love-in', be it a couple, family get together, or a small work group. Merry & Roger are very obliging hosts (helped us at short notice when it was discovered not all family members had bought provisions for the family bbq - great chicken Merry!) We ate our bbq in the Barr Smith Room and were pleasantly warmed by the pot belly stove (as well as the wine!). The location is very peaceful and if you can pull yourself away from the relexing atmosphere, the Clare wine region and nearby Port Broughton and beaches are a pleasant 40 minutes drive away. The country town of Snowtown is a mere 5 minutes by car and the pub does good honest pub food (discount if you mention you are staying at Hummocks). City dwellers just be aware the pub stops serving evening meals at 8pm. Ladies if you fancy a bit of retail therapy the town offers two bric a brac shops, (one of them being open only on Sat mornings during the weekends, but more regular hours during the week and has a very eclectic collection of jewellery). Hummocks Station is a great find, enjoy your stay - we did.

Thank you Sharyn66 for your review on Hummocks Station, South Australia. Roger and I really enjoyed meeting your extended family and seeing you all enjoy the facilities we offer. It is always a pleasure to have young children, their parents and the grandparents together as a group at Hummocks Station. We take a lot of pride in being able to offer real Aussie experiences to to all age groups who stay with us and we hope that the kangaroos are not hiding next time you visit us!
Warm Regards, Merry & Roger
