I stayed here with my teenage son for as week on the holidays. The location was great as we only had a car for half our stay. There is a bus stop just outside the hotel. The staff were all lovely and extremely helpful. Our room was clean but some parts of it were showing their age eg dark carpet, shower and bathroom amenities. The hotel was nice and quiet and the breakfast at their cafe was great. We really loved Adelaide and overall had a pleasant stay.More
We stayed for 4 nights while visiting family in Adelaide and found the it a pleasant place to stay. The staff were very pleasant and helpful and our suite clean, well presented and comfortable. We were upgraded which was greatly appreciated, while this is and older property the refurbishments are of a high standard. It is located on a busy street but it is not a problem after about 9pm. The location is good if you don't want to be in the central city but still handy to attractions. Only negatives was the lack of free WiFi computer access which many hotels now provide as a service and while there was a kitchenette it was only equipt for tea and coffee. .
Upon entering the room it was like stepping back into the 60's. If you want peace and Quiet don't stay here. Our room had a door which linked us to the neighbouring room, you can hear EVERYTHING going on in there!! You can hear everything in the hallway, when people are leaving their room and when the people upstairs are having a shower and using the bathroom. Take sleeping pills if you want a good nights sleep. The cleaners are also very noisy and they don't really do a good job either. We had dirty cups for 3 days! There was not enough car parks, we found ourselves having to pay for parking elsewhere. Not good considering its advertised as free parking. The good thing about this hotel, at least it makes you want to get out and see Adeliade, but you feel depressed when you return at night though. PS don't go to the Thai restuarant down the street (Tiger Lilly) terrible food and service and expensive. Go to the Pizza place, awesome pizza.
Thanks for your review. All feedback is helpful and encouraged by us to ensure that the product we provide meets and exceeds guests expectations. On this occasion we appear to have fallen short of expectations. Our standard rooms are an older style, however have been recently refurbished with modern furniture and fittings. We will certainly look into the comments regarding sound proofing.
The property provides onsite complimentary parking, which although limited, it is usually adequate for guests. Should there be any difficulty with parking our staff would have been happy to assist with locating a space whenever possible.

A bit expensive with furniture from the early nineties. Needs refurbishing but the free included parking is a nice additiaddition. Also the daily tour for Kangaroo Island will pick you up from here directly
Thank you for your feedback. We are just completing a $1.5 million refurbishment of the property in which all the guest room furniture was replaced throughout the property. Without knowing the details of your reservation, it sounds like you may have booked one of our standard budget rooms which are much smaller than the other rooms and have not had the same fit out, as there is not enough room for additional new furniture. We are looking at ways to modernise these rooms also (there are only a couple of rooms of this type in the property). We are slowly working our way through these things and appreciate hearing from guests to make sure we are heading in the right direction. I would be happy to arrange a complimentary upgrade to one of our executive rooms if you are ever back in Adelaide so you can experience one of our renovated rooms.
If you are looking for an average motel style property this will suit you. The staff are quite pleasant, the cocktail bar is good and the breakfast is OK.
Cleaning is a problem - there wasn't much in my room. I thought it was at the top end of the price range for this type of property and don't bother eating anything except breakfast in the restaurant. Nearby there are some excellent restaurants.
Parking is good and included in the price (but is in the open). Oh, and the place leaks quite badly when it rains.
Got a one room suite right at the corner of one wing. Very far from lift. Ended up walking stairs instead.
Refurbishment going on in motel.Room has new furniture which is about all. Noisy central heater which does not work in the day after 7am which leaves the room very very frosty cold. Kitchenette has only a kettle. Bar fridge not working. Shower head has super strong water jets (not in a good way) Walls in room very thin, can hear all opening and closing of other guest rooms' doors and all speeches made by anyone outside the room. Found empty drink can under bed too.
Complimentary parking available at the motel compound, clearly not enough for guests.
Motel located in street with quite a few eatery and pubs. Not much security in the compound itself. Had a night with some drunks making a din right outside room, even causing corridor lights to blow out but no sight of security or staff handling the people.
Not worth the price we paid. Had seen better.
