“Good seafood.”
Reviewed 18 December 2013

Came here last night and really liked it. Ordered the soft shell crab as a main and it was perfectly done. I have had this at many places where it has been a bit hit and miss, but Paul's did a great job. Had some scallop and prawn dishes too which were nice and fresh. Mains are around $26 - $34. Service by was fantastic, the manager shook out hands at the end. I will certainly be back.

tip: Go around 8 pm on a week night when the place isn't so busy. It is quieter and more enjoyable.

Simply cooked so that you really taste the fish. Fresh salad and very good potato wedges.

“Inexpensive, generous, delicious”
Reviewed 18 November 2013 via mobile

Dad occasionally brought us here on Friday nights; I first came in 1961. I thought there were alcoves then. My older brothers who still live in Adelaide say it has changed little over the years. Mains are served with chips and a simple, fresh salad. Olive oil and vinegar are on the table. Our chips were made from an unusual potato. They were a little softer but sweeter and delicious. My crumbed whiting was very ungreasy and perfect. In spite of that I'll try it grilled next time because it looked even better. Please, Pauls cafe, don't ever change (except maybe provide frsh ground pepper rather than that tastless powdered stuff).

“Average fish & chip shop...no more”
Reviewed 5 November 2013

Basic fish & chip shop with some tables in the back for eating in. Food was ok...fish portions small, overall expensive for that size ~ $20. Not your sophisticated night out this one....take the kids!

“Fresh Seafood”
Reviewed 18 September 2013

Paul's had fresh seafood, nicely cooked. Both the whiting and salt and pepper squid were tasty. Watch out for the lunch specials, as they are a good value.
