Owner description: Haigh’s original retail store, established in 1915 in Adelaide’s historic Beehive Corner building right on the corner of Rundle Mall and King William Street. Conveniently located in the centre of the shopping district, the store is just a few minutes walk from major hotels, the Convention Centre, Festival Centre and railway station.

A great place for souvenirs. The prices are quite dear, but the name says a lot. The reputation is strong and the chocolate is edible and made with quality ingredients. The location is convenient and should be on your list of things to do while visiting Rundle Mall.

“I love Haigh's!”
Reviewed 9 June 2014

What is a trip to Adelaide without a trip to Haigh's?! The factory tour is free, with tastings! Just make sure you book ahead. Haigh's chocolate is some of the best chocolate you will try. Love it!

Did the factory tour which, although short, is very informative. Tastings were generous and delicious. Haigh's has wonderful selection of chocolates. Check out the factory seconds as there are some good buys there. Make sure you book though.

“Tasty truffles!”
Reviewed 17 April 2014

We didn't visit the factory (saving this for a future trip to Adelaide) but the shop has all the chocolates that you could want in it and a massive selection. The shiraz truffles are a must - not too alcoholic and just enough of the wine taste without being over-powering. My other favourite was the chocolate block with ginger, an awesome combination. Prices are good and the staff are very helpful and knowledgeable.

“Wow! The locals were right on this one!”
Reviewed 10 March 2014 via mobile

Our friend and tour guide spoke really highly of the chocolates. And one of the sales girls at a jewelry store in the Strand spoke really highly of this place and should get a commission on my purchase. My friend told me to buy the Caramel eggs, the dark chocolate frogs, dark speckles and the dark chocolate marshmallow squares. I should have bought a case of marshmallow squares because they are to die for. All of the chocolate is fantastic but the marshmallow squares are heaven. I bought quite a bit and should have tried it before I left and bought even more. I purchased the truffle mixed box for my mum (hopefully she'll love it as much as we have). I may have to see if they will ship to us in Texas. It is that good. And I'm not really a chocolate lover. But the dark chocolate is to die for and lives up to everything everyone told us.
