I came across this establishment online as I was booking my flight from Melbourne. The location is in Adelaide's CBD, just a few blocks from Rundle Street Mall, adjacent shopping venues and most bus services in Grenfell Street, including one to and from the airport. Ideal! The hotel is fronted by a heritage building that reminds one of a Moorish palace in southern Spain. I found the reception staff friendly and helpful. The double room/single use where I was accommodated was spacious, clean and well equipped with the usual amenities, including a 'frig. It was well maintained throughout my week's stay.

A feature of the Adabco is its family-oriented provisions; a laundry (and outside clothes line) for washing, also a kitchen where meals may be cooked.

The cold buffet breakfast I would describe as adequate, though I thought the variety of items available could have been increased yet maintain a service that did not require cooked foods. The dining room is a bit small when a crowd of guests all arrive at the same time. There is a functions room adjacent to the eating area and I think that it could be used more purposefully at peak times. In fact, I did notice a couple of people eating with food on their laps in the overflow section on one occasion. But nobody went hungry!

I would definitely recommend this hotel for anybody visiting Adelaide, either for business or pleasure.

Room Tip: My room was on the west side, I think, a little noisy from a motor or air-conditioning unit next doo...

This is a clean, comfortable hotel within easy walking distance of the centre of the city. I found the staff helpful and efficient. There is a basic breakfast included in the price. I would definitely use this hotel again.

A decent hotel in a good location.
Kitchen was useful, we made sure we used this however not many other guest did. That meant we pretty much could use it ourselves without interruption.
Our room was noises at night - sounded like a water pipe was going through our ceiling...
Close to Hutt St which has restaurants, pubs and supermarket
Good to have breakfast available
Our room had a view of a wall and a car park, so there may be better views in other rooms
10-15 min walk into the city centre, 20 min walk to the central markets which we bought some excellent produce to cook in the kitchen on our floor
Common areas are a bit out dated and carpets are old. Bed is only a double, so was slightly more comfy than expected...

Searched through tripadvisor for a quiet place in Adelaide and found this little gem. On Wakefield Street very close to Frome, just a nice little walk down to Victoria Square and the markets or to Rundle Mall.
Booked a kingsize bedroom and went to the top (third level) floor. It was super quiet at night even though I could hear some footsteps in the next room. Quiet airconditioner, spacious room and high ceilings. Shower on smallish size. Everything appeared very clean. And there was a safe. Good quality furnishings and louvres on the windows.
We did not go for breakfast as we prefer to walk down to the wonderful Adelaide markets.
