“Awesome service and great food”
Reviewed 8 June 2014

The food is fabulous but the service is second to none, very satisfied and we will return soon. The wine list is very well priced with a good selection of interesting wines.

“Not for vegitarians”
Reviewed 28 May 2014

Last night was our first time back here in over 12 months and the menu has changed dramatically. Most of the dishes were based on offal including desert which offered whipped up pigs blood with tobacco.
Needless to say our vegetarian guests were not impressed.
The quality of the food we finally settled on was OK, nothing to write home about, service was good and staff friendly to the point that they arranged some suitable food for the non carnivores amongst us.
I was disappointed, even as an omnivore, I left the restaurant feeling dissatisfied.
We wont be going back.

“Imaginative menu and good service”
Reviewed 3 May 2014

We loved the different menu and the philosophy of using all parts of the animal. However it was not pretentious and produced tasty dishes. The wait staff were attentive and able to explain the menu. We tried out this restaurant based on reviews in various newspapers and magazines, we were not disappointed and will come again.

“Nose to tail dining”
Reviewed 19 April 2014 via mobile

A menu that is unique. True to the maxim that the only part of a pig you can't eat is the oink! Excellent wine, whiskey and beer range. Cameron is a fantastic host and has an encyclopedic knowledge of his products.

“disappointing food”
Reviewed 5 April 2014

The nine of us chose this centrally located pub for our regular catch up dinner. We all enjoy new menus and have travelled and are usually easy to please. The room is great and the service OK. I eat seafood and love vegetables and the others eat everything and love their meat. There was one vegetarian option and the seafood I negotiated to be without the pork.. The slice of bread each was nice but everyone said their meals lacked flavour and were oily, greasy and quite small too. The beers were expensive and over all it was an expensive meal. They may think it stylish but the tastes are just not working and my friends like offal and have savoured black pudding ! But.....
We went round the corner for dessert and coffee. Our neighbours were planning a birthday at this pub and we have encouraged them to go elsewhere.
