“Medical Appointment Easy”

First time in Adelaide....tram pulls up a few minutes walk from motel door. The upstairs floors were being refurbished. I chose a room looking onto the road....there is noise from trains, hospital building site and trams.....but I always travel with earplugs so noise doesn't worry me. The cleaning staff do a wonderful job and the office staff were great. I had a executive spa room, the spa was wonderful after days of appointments and tests. Was able to jump on the tram to the city and Glenelg to view the sites. There is a Mc Donalds up and round the corner(left out front door and left at pub) for a coffee etc if needed which I only found the last day. Enjoyable stay.

Being raised in Adelaide I had to visit my ailing Dad and wanted to stay close to transport. I did not hire a car. The Comfort Inn was perfect for that I could go anywhere I pleased with the Train Station down the road and all the Buses in a 5 minute walk. The Public Transport Office in Pirie Street 2 streets away set me on the right path to anywhere I wanted to go. I had breakfast in the restaurant but found walking down the road to the many Cafes much better and cheaper. A 5 minute walk to the City Hub - Rundle Mall and your in Shopping Heaven. The room was larger than I expected and very clean with all the necessities needed. I paid for a Special 5 night stay which worked out extremely cheap considering my position. My Brother stayed closer to my dad but paid twice as much for a very basic Hotel Room, I was Very Happy and will if needed go back to the Comfort Inn Riveria.

Room Tip: Depending on what you want. Basic is economical and very sufficient. You can hear the Trains & T...

We initially chose this hotel as it was close to the railway station. We were pleasantly surprised by the friendly and helpful staff, the lovely breakfast, the free trams outside to the city. We enjoyed the Jam factory art centre just a few steps away. The room was much larger than expected. We had a most enjoyable stay and would recommend this hotel.

We spent four nights there in reasonable comfort despite the strangely thin walls through which we could sometimes even hear loud conversations at night (there was unfortunately a roudy team of female basketball players spending the weekend there).
The evening receptionist was just exceptional, courteous and helpful. When we expressed our initial disappoilntment with the inside room, the receptionist kindly agreed to move us to a better room with a window on our second night.
The location was ideal for us, the hotel is beautiful, clean and really good value.
The parking however is ridiculously expensive and not even under cover.

Room Tip: If you want comfort, ask specifically for an outside room. The inside ones are really terrible. The...

Sufficient for a 1-night stay ... or maybe that should be, a 1-night stay is more than sufficient in this place.

We booked on agoda, got a deluxe room with spa, and paid $139 up-front because the pictures on agoda looked nice. On checking in though, the room we got looked nothing like the pictures.

- The carpet was worn and thread-bare.
- The spa was barely functional: the on/off button toook a few presses to get working, & the speed dial didn't work at all.
- No exhaust fan in the bathroom.
- Bathroom floor is HIGHER than room floor, so water dripped onto the bathroom floor flows right out onto the carpet.
- Aircon remote was fiddly & didn't always work.
- One of the windows wouldn't close properly, letting in a cold draft all night.
- 10am checkout time should be later; most other places offer 11am or noon.
- Breakfast restaurant ONLY, so no daytime dining options.

For this price range, there are many better options in Adelaide cbd; don't be fooled by the north terrace address, there is a university campus licated between the hotel and the rest of north terrace, makes for a dark & deserted walk to restaurants in the evenings.

Fine for one night. Certainty nothing flash but quiet, clean and comfortable.
Obviously just redecorated as there was a strong smell of paint.
$18 for parking was probably a bit steep although there was parking on the street

4th floor had been recently decorated, so recent we could smell the paint, but no smell inside the room itself. Large room at front with double and single bed tea and coffee making facilities. Bathroom with shower AND spa bath. My collegue in room at back had only a shower. Trams could be heard through closed patio door, but it was not intrusive.
Lacked eating place for evening meal, but cold or hot breakfast offered.
I will return as it is conveniently located and near enough to plenty of restaurants.

Room Tip: Get a room at the front if you want a bath, but one at the back if peace and quiet are important to...
