building itself may be getting a bit old but the staff is extremely courteous and polite. i dare say, the service provided has been better than other equivalent hotels. as mentioned, very central location and close to adelaide oval - great if you are here for a sporting event.

as a IHG member, free wifi is included. breakfast buffet is 35 dollars - decent selection and good quality. - can make ur own fresh juices!

gym is well equipped too!

would come back again.

Recently stayed in InterContinental Adelaide. This hotel is conveniently located next to the Casino, train station and tram to beach areas. I stayed in a King single room with fanstatic views of the Adelaide river and the new stadium. The room as very spacious and well set out for working and relaxing. It was a joy to watch the sun set whilst sitting at the desk and then watching the lights come on over the stadium and river bank. Storage was not a problem unlike a lot other more expensive hotel rooms that I have stayed in. Will definitely stay here in the future both on business and with my wife for leisure. It was a real pleasure to stay here.

Room Tip: Definitely ask for a river view in a normal room as the suites all face the city. The King room was...

We stayed overnight at the Intercontinental because we couldn't get a reasonable rate where we usually stay. The hotel is beautiful and our room was really great - comfortable, spacious, brilliant view over the river, attractively decorated. Would definitely recommend this hotel and we will be keen to stay there again.

Could not fault the room or service having just spent two nights there. The window view was fantastic over the river towards the adelaide oval. The location was great, short walk to the city, casino, oval etc. The staff were amazing exceeding my expectations.

Room Tip: Ask for a river view.

Location, location, location. This hotel sits on Adelaide’s Grand Boulevard 'North Terrace' which is home to the Art Gallery, Museum, Universities, Casino and Convention Centre. It’s also in easy walking distance to the Adelaide Oval and adjacent Festival Theatre. As the tower is free standing all rooms have a nice view. However you can't get fresh air into your room as the windows don't open and its reasonable value for money, unless you only want a bed for the night.

Room Tip: I think most would be pretty good, however the view improves the higher you go.

Just back from 2 nights at the Intercontinental 9th & 10th May. I reluctantly made the booking not expecting much after reading some very negative reviews on this site. All I can say is ignore any negative comments as this place far exceeded my expectations. We chose this hotel for its location and access to Adelaide Oval.
The staff at this hotel is second to none; they were exceptional right from the ones who opened our car doors when we arrived to Morgan at check-in, who was extremely friendly, polite and courteous. All the staff were very helpful, and keen to help out.
Despite the dreary weather our room on the 23rd floor was perfect, with a nice view of the hills, it was quite large with a beautiful bathroom. No sign of wear and tear in our room.
If you can afford the Club level do take it, as it is worth every cent. Between the outstanding breakfast, the best I have ever had in any Club, to the afternoon tea and high quality evening drinks and canapés. The staff in the Club was just so professional and hard working. Breakfast was such a surprise as I had read some negative reviews therefore was not expecting much. What a surprise, beautifully cooked scrambled eggs, plus so much more. I can’t wait to go back to Intercontinental Adelaide.

Room Tip: Get a room on the Club levels if possible.

We stayed in a club room on Friday 9 May everything was first class. The bedding was of an excellent quality. I believe the staff we encountered were the best of any hotel we have ever stayed in. The head concierge and all his staff are a credit to the hotel and made our stay very enjoyable. Thank you all for making my 50th birthday very special. There is only one hotel to stay in Adelaide The Intercontinental. Thanks Again Norma

Room Tip: Go for a club room the benefits are wonderful
