“Great room”
Reviewed 23 March 2012

Good welcome at entrance-car looked after and staff checking us in were very friendly and helpful. The room on the 17th floor was excellent. Very spacious with a large bathroom, clean and nicely furnished.
Just wish they wouldn't have the Air Con so cold. Breakfast was a little disappointing though-not loads of choice.
Good location.

: I enjoyed my stay in Adelaide and really liked this hotel - - my (upgraded) room was large and very nicely decorated. The bed was extremely comfortable and there was a great chair and ottoman with a good light for reading! This alone makes the hotel rate right at the top in my book. I had a little balcony, but there was nothing to look at so didn’t use it (but the fresh air was appreciated). There was lots of storage for my stuff and a nice credenza for making coffee. The bathroom was very large with a deep tub and big glassed-in shower, everything modern and nice. The elevators were fast and prompt. I didn’t eat in the hotel so can’t comment on the food although the restaurant looked pretty fancy and pricey. The staff seemed to be nice and efficient, but the only thing special that I asked them to do for me was to heat up leftovers from my dinner the night before (which they did cheerfully, putting my “doggie bag” in a nice china dish and providing cutlery). The location is good: 1 block from a tram stop so its easy to get around; 3 blocks to a street full of dozens of restaurants and the fantastic Central Market and 3 blocks to the fun Rundle Street pedestrian mall; 1 miles or less to beautiful parks and the Torrens River. Their wifi was excellent and I was allowed 3 hours of free access each day. Unlike many other Aussie hotels, wifi was accessible from my room.

We decided on a weekend getaway in our own city and couldn't have asked for better accommodation and service. We've stayed previously for only one night at a time and the difference a weekend makes is amazing. Cocktails in the lounge, fully cooked breakfasts, we were totally relaxed. The rooms are very spacious, the bathroom is huge, everything is spotless. We hope for another romantic weekend away at the Rendezvous in the very near future.

We've stayed here several times, each time on the Executive Floor. We have also used the "romantic" package that comes with late checkout, valet, rose petals & gifts.
The rooms are great, well set out with a gorgeous bathroom, complete with bath & toiletries. Flat screen in the king size bedroom and a flat screen in the lounge area. All amenities are there that you will need.
Great location to the CBD. Will be staying there again in April.

Room Tip: Executive Rooms with the Romantic Package for a great weekend away!

I stayed here for business on a suite on the top floor. I really enjoyed the size of the bedroom, balcony and bathroom including a very comfortable bathtub. Front desk staff were not very friendly and lacked some polish and being forced to have valet parking is always a hassle but overall an enjoyable stay

We stayed at the Rendezvous for two separate days within a week, so had the opportunity to see the services levels from concierge to check out both times. Lets start with the good:

* location - arguably the best location, particularly if you here for business;
* rooms - relatively huge (compared to Australian capital city hotels);
* bath and overall bathroom layout - great;
* balcony - fresh air!!!
* good lobby bar.

On the other side of the coin - THE BAD:

* if service is important to you, don't stay here - we arrived with our 4 month old baby and the concierge watched us unload the car then belatedly asked whether he could help with the bags; he then moved the bags to the check in desk (off the trolly); when he saw us struggle to the lift he called out "what room are you in"...we couldn't bother answering while he couldn't bother helping out;
* room service - it is normally impossible to get the Special of the Day wrong, but they did; they got the whole dinner order wrong....
* aircon - didn't work. Both times.
* bathroom ammenities - cheap and nasty (why don't so-called top line hotels provide a disposable toothbrush?);
* expensive WiFi (hey - WiFi technology is sunk guys, whether it used or not - so it is just like charging for air);
* hard bed.

We don't recomend - Adelaide has too many better options.

Room Tip: Ask for a balcony suite
