“Fantastic Stay”
Reviewed 31 December 2013

Two weeks prior to staying here, we went into the rendezvous to find out the cost to stay a couple of nights over Christmas. Sam, a very helpful and nice person at the front desk gave us a good price and showed us a couple of rooms. We were quite impressed with the Superior room with a king-size bed so we booked it and requested we would like to be on an upper floor.

Arrived on the 24th and were greeted by Vanessa at the desk, another very nice person who let us check-in early as the room had already been cleaned. Our room was even better than what we had actually seen prior. It was on the 17th floor that had an entrance to walk into a very large, spacious room with King-size bed, desk and comfortable chairs. The bathroom was so big and amazing with a large bath and walk in shower. There was everything you needed in there. Large floor to ceiling windows with plenty of light with such a great feeling of space. The view from the balcony was fantastic of the city then rolling into the hills, a bit of everything. The Mini bar is well stocked at reasonable prices. There was no traffic noise or noise from other rooms. The room was spotless and we were given a midday checkout.

This was our Christmas present to ourselves and thank you to all at the Rendezvous staff for making our time enjoyable.

Room Tip: Get the upper floor

Really loved the room which was really spacious, great bathroom and comfortable bed, great location and quiet, staff were really friendly, the only bad thing I can say is that the parking is $32 a day which is quite pricey, apart from that it's a great hotel.would stay again.

Our stay started off rocky. We arrived and were told there were no twin share rooms available and we had been "upgraded" to a room with a king bed @ $80 a night more. Now if we were a "couple" that would have been fine…but we're not and we booked the reservation asking for twin share 4 months before. Good thing my traveling buddy and I aren't ridged when it comes to curve balls. We decided we had waited too long to go on the trip to let something like sleeping arrangements ruin our fun. The Management was even flexible enough to negotiate regarding the "upgrade." That was the only hitch in our getaway. Our room was comfortable and clean. I loved having a choice of shower or tub. The Rendezvous Grande is perfectly located for walking to shopping and restaurants. We ended up eating at the hotel restaurant late one evening after napping from a wine tour (which was awesome.) The food was delicious and we were pleasantly surprised. Overall, a really great stay. I want to especially thank Brian, who helped us arrange a hired car to drive us to and from AAMI stadium for a concert. Will definitely stay again if/when I get back to Adelaide.

This hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Adelaide. Not far in a Taxi from the Airport.
I was on the 14th Floor and my room was high quality. Good sized King Bed, Great Views, large bathroom, very clean.
I would definitely stay here again when I return to Adelaide.
The Breakfast buffet is average compared to other places I have stayed but suited what I needed anyway.
The Bar in the Lobby was well laid out and the overall staff were extremely helpful.
Upon departure to the Airport the Hotel organised their own driver to take me there.

I have stayed here a few times because it is great value. Very comfortable king sized bed, bathroom with bath and shower, large rooms, wardrobe, room service, buffet breakfast, valet parking etc. everything you expect from a 5 * hotel but a fraction of the price. If you book early you can get some great deals. It's walking distance to the mall. Some rooms have no view, others have a view over the city, some have balconies. If you are there on the weekend you might get a car park on the street and they also offer valet parking ($30 a night I think). There is free internet for 3 hours or you can purchase faster internet. This hotel is my first choice when coming to Adelaide.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on a high floor with a view.

We had been "upgraded" ??? to this hotel from its sister apartments after a booking system error, the hotel room was small compared to other 5 star we have stayed in Australia, it says suite but it is the size of a 3 star in the bedroom itself, the bathroom large and luxurious but impractical taps for filling a kettle, the swimming pool and spa suffering neglect with dirty windows - a simple fix to improve the ambience. The foyer/ ground floor suffering a terrible sewerage smell, so bad we took our drinks to our room rather than suffer in the bar area. The sewerage smell lasted the whole weekend - they need to get that fixed. Good location but showing signs of neglect and an extremely pricey breakfast with no tourist, just business traveller deals for breakfast. Recommend take the short cut through the car park arcade opposite, to other breakfast options, where you can eat two for the price of one in the hotel unless they address their breakfast pricing. On a positive note, the staff were great and housekeeping superb.

Stayed one night on a work trip. Fantastic location, right in the heart of the city. Staff were very friendly and efficient. My room was very spacious, bed was very comfortable, bathroom was really big and well stocked with soaps, shampoos, body lotions etc. I found the room to be very clean - in fact it was spotless. I would certainly stay here again.
