This market was a delight to walk through. I’m a lover of cheese and this market surprised me. I have never come across the range of cheeses this market had, there was so many I have never seen before. And to add to that most of the stalls are selling locally and sometimes organic produce. Great markets!

Bustling place with multiple selections! Fresh foods and great restaurants. The candy store was my absolute favorite! We were visiting from the USA. My family lives in St Agnes and in my teens I lived there. I absolutely love the lollies at the market! The map given to me when we entered was very helpful :) The public transit to get there was perfect :)

Shopping at central market used to be a joy, lots of varieties, freshness and different stalls owned by different nationalities all hawking their wares giving the market its vibrancy. Not today. Vibrancy has since been replaced by surliness of the stall holders who when they drop produce onto the ground leave it there to be mashed into the ground by the crowd. Freshness seems not to be there anymore... the supermarkets produce seems to be fresher and prices
are.no.longer cheap... the crowds are not polite and no care seems to be afforded to elderly or children. I was very disappointed and will no longer shop there. Good points: free 2 hour undercover parking nad points: trying to negotiate your car to get to the car park
If you can avoid the adelaide central market but go to victor harbour market or angaston markets... worth the distance to travel with freshness and value.

Love visiting my local central market, has such a good vibe. Great selection of fresh fruit & vegetables, sweets & nuts. First time I went with my son was a Saturday so was pretty busy & hard getting around through the crowds with a pram. Lady at the fresh fruit stall at the end offered him an complimentary apple.
Free 1hour parking too
