Great location, facilities and nice, comfortable rooms. Only major negative was treatment from one of the front desk staff (male staff) when I tried to give him my car keys for valet parking. He was serving another customer and as put my keys on the desk, he turned and said "excuse me, how so rude", and gave me a terrible look. It's so important for a hotel charging premium rates to ensure service is not compromised. No other issues with the rest of the front desk staff.

We have stayed here a few times, great rooms, cleanliness, location, etc. Not stayed anywhere else in Adelaide. But this last time we spoke direct to Hindmarsh Sq reception to order a room to make sure we got a PARKVIEW room - we booked it BUT when checking in they said we didn't and one was not available. A pity the person we booked with was the person who checked us in - very RUDE (I think he had manger or supervisor on his name tag!). He had to ask us if we had stayed here before, der YES, only to find a nice card in our room to say thank you for staying with us again and a complimentary drink voucher. Otherwise a 5 out of 5. Will not book here again - will try others. A pity one person spoils the whole experience - I wish we got his name.

Room Tip: Even if you book a PARKVIEW room - you may not get it Double or triple check. The rooms that do not...

Stayed for 4 nights in December in a 2 bedroom apartment on the 2nd floor. Combined lounge/ dining/kitchenette was quite large with a small balcony fronting onto Hindmarsh Square. Lounge area contained a large TV, a 3 seater sofa and single lounge chair, a coffee table, a desk with a chair and a table with 4 chairs. The open kitchenette had a 2 burner cook-top, oven, microwave, small fridge, sink and was well equipped with plates, cutlery, glasses, some bowls and saucepans.

Unfortunately both of the bedrooms did not have windows. The main bedroom did have some frosted glass as part of the wall into the corridor leading from the front door to the combined living/dining/kitchenette area but it was still dark. It contained a queen sized bed, small wardrobe with a safe and bedside lights. The second bedroom was very dark - no natural light at all. It was a smaller room - longer but narrower. It also had a queen bed, a small wardrobe and 2 small beside tables. Unfortunately the sheets didn't really fit the bed which made for an uncomfortable night's sleep.

There was only one bathroom that was very small particularly as it was for 4 people. There was a shower only - good pressure - a small hand basin with one small drawer. There was not enough room for one person to leave their toiletries in there forget about 4.

All of the rooms were very clean. Wifi was included in the room rate and worked well.

Breakfast was available in the café downstairs. Reasonable buffet with hot and cold selections. Did not eat dinner at this café/restaurant as considered it to be very expensive. For example a bottle of Heineken was $8-70. Followed the lead of the Channel Nine TV cricket crew and dined one night at the pub diagonally across the square.

Staff at reception when checking in/out were friendly and efficient.

Hotel is very centrally located to the main shopping area and about a 10 to 15 minute walk to the Adelaide Cricket Ground.

We stayed at the mantra Hindmarsh square for 5 nights with our two preschoolers. We had a 2 bedroom unit which was great for the kids. The room had a balcony and view over the park which was lovely.
I can't speak highly enough about the hotel staff - so friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

Brilliant location, close to everything. Superb views from the balcony facing the green square and the hills beyond. I've stayed in many city based hotels in Adelaide before, and this is, without question, the most uplifting experience I've had in terms of Adelaide CBD accommodation, ever. The fact that airline hosties and pilots seem to stay here too says something!
Tasteful, modern furnishings. Really with the times. Loved every moment here.
Great espresso bar and freshly baked muffins to go available from the street facing part in the a.m. if you have to move out fast. Very happy with out stay here. Will stay again.
