Udaberri was one of the first (if not the first I think) places to get a small bar licence. In my humble opinion it is still the leader of what is now a pack of small bars around Leigh and Peel Streets. The staff are enthusiastically knowledgeable particularly when it comes to the wonderful gin blends they present in cocktail glasses. The food menu is made up of pintxos (tiny plates) and my favourite at the moment is the giant swiss brown mushrooms with an egg on top. The DJ plays the perfect mix of up-cycled music for a varied cool crowd. Great in summer on the bench outside or the not-so-secret area at the back. Equally great in winter seated on a cosy stool at the bar.
