The room and bathroom were very clean and tidy. Bath in shower but I did not mind. Staff were all very friendly. We ordered room service for dinner one night and the food was amazing. Tram to the city is only a five minute walk away so is convenient.
The only thing I did not like is the view from our window. Opening the curtain, I found corrugated iron fence (we were on the first floor) and a 'balcony' (not that we were able to use it even if we had wanted too) which had rubbish on it. Definitely not what I had expected from a four star hotel.

Stayed for 5 nights and this was a great location and close to everything. Short walk to end of block to catch tram direct into city centre or to Glenelg. Staff very helpful. Room clean and comfortable. We got an upgrade after 3 nights as had noisy people in room next door. Upgrade excellent. Thank you Grand Chifley and would stay with you again.

Room Tip: Stayed on 10th and 11th floors...good views all around.

stayed two nights with my husband. Place was very clean and comfortable, none of that air freshener smell to cover up old smells. We were there to see the Football at Adelaide oval. We enjoyed our walk to the oval and our walk back. We chose to eat around the corner on Hutt St for breakfast many places to chose from. and ate out in Rundle Street for dinner.

Dear Grandma849
Thanks for choosing to stay with us and for writing a review . I am pleased you enjoyed your visit and hope your team also won their footy match :)
For those not wanting to walk to and from the oval, the free city tram is a great way to travel and the nearest stop is just 500m from our front door.
We look forward to welcoming you back next time you stay.

We were in a fairly good size room with 2 beds that provided a comfortable sleep. The hotel is a distance from Adelaide centre but is rescued by the fact that the free tram has a stop 400 yards from the hotel.
A full buffet breakfast cost 19 dollars but I found the service on the coffee a little slow.
In the room there was no flannel or soap provided and the plug we had didn't fit the sink or the bath.
No free wifi, not too unusual on our travels but I couldn't even buy Wifi with cash at reception.
Hotel a bit out of touch.

Recently stayed in Grand Chifley. Excellent service. Very clean and good-size rooms. Free parking is a great bonus. The hotel overlooks the park land and free tram to the city. Without doubt, I will be happy to come back again

Room Tip: Stay on the 6th floor. Good view

As a regular business traveller to Adelaide thought I would give this Hotel a go. Was not disappointed, the Executive KS Rooms are well worth it ( Shop around I got a deal for $155)
Clean, well presented, nice towels and toiletries. Great sized TV and the heating worked lovely.
There's a small bar area downstairs and breakfast and dinner should you wish, however there are some very nice pubs and a great little wine bar on Sturt St so well worth the walk.
Free parking a huge bonus, great location and all I can say is I could not fault it. Great Staff and free papers make this place.

Room Tip: Go for the Executive KS Rooms and go for floor 10+ and request away from the Lifts.

Dear Stefan M
I am pleased you enjoyed your recent stay and sharing a review for others.
Sounds like you found a real bargain with the price for the Executive King Room. Another helpful tip when shopping for price with us is the earlier you book the greater the savings.
I hope you also enjoyed the views from the room as they are almost unparalleled in Adelaide.
Adelaide has many new installations with intimate bars and laneway venue's opening up in our great city over the last year or so. Truly vibrant.
We look forward tow elcoming back when next you visit.
