This hotel is in a great location but the rooms really need a revamp and maintenance. Our room was dark and smelt musty, the taps dripped and the carpet and couch were VERY grubby.
Nice friendly staff

Room Tip: Ask for one away from kitchen and covered walkway...too dark and noisy.

We went to watch the AFL at Adelaide oval and it's a great location. 10 min walk to the stadium and in the middle of a very lively entertainment area, this was a great little find. Would definitely come back next time.

We had my parents 50th Wedding Anniversary in one of the Function Rooms. The room was set up beautifully, the staff were very friendly and went out of their way to make sure the evening ran smoothly. The food was nice and served i a timely manner. All the guests enjoyed the ambiance and there were many comments on the friendly staff.
We stayed overnight and our room was well appointed and comfortable. The breakfast buffet is amazing.
Definately recommend for your Special Function

Heater in room very temperamental, Electric blanket plug broken and could feel coils through bedding . Cold night, no room service menu or room instruction book in room. Couldn't find in house movies on TV.
Lots of good restaurants around.

As i walked up the front stairs to the entrance of the Hotel from where I parked my vehicle, the 'welcoming committee' was at the Reception to greet me with a smile on her face. Julie the Receptionist was exceptional so was Christian as they couldn't do enough for you. I also met up with the Mgr Director who took on board little things that I felt there was room for improvement. Having worked at The Windsor Hotel Melb for many years, one gets to know their hospitality, meet and greet, rooms and all of the above. Service from the Waiter and Chef in the dining room for dinner was perfect. The Breakfast menu excellent for Continental and Helen the Waiter couldn't do enough for you. Yes, improvements could be made in the room re power points & exhaust fan in bathroom but everything was catered for. So central, and handy to shops and car parking very secure. Lovely part of Adelaide and safe enough to go for the early morning or evening walk. Thank you as I will make this my base on my return to Adelaide.

Room Tip: Depending on how you sleep but I prefer a back room away from street noise. Forget the view when in...

We love the location of this place right in the heart of North Adelaide on O'Connell St. The building is dated with some still very nice touches. The rooms are generously sized and everything is clean; generally the rooms are still ok but it won't be long and they will need to spend money on this place.
Breakfast was not quite as dazzling as I would like for a mini break experience. The dining room was empty and the nice tables by the pool-view were set for dinner rather than breakfast which we didn't realise at first, taking the table we most liked instead of the plain ones set aside for breakfast. When the waitress re-entered the room (she was absent when we arrived) we were informed that we were at the wrong type of table, but generously said that we could stay there anyway. I just thought that sort of table segregation was a bit unnecessary.
I've decided that it's not good value for money once you add in your breakfast cost but it is convenient if you are looking for a place in North Adelaide.
