“Very disinctive”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 December 2013

When you walk past it, you cant hlp but stop and look at it. It comes from an era when architecture was so much more than big tall glass buildings. Adelaide has a variety of interesting old buildings and this is just one of them.

“Haighs, need I say more ?”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 November 2013

Those of you visiting from out of town or not from around here should know that within this location lies Australia's best chocolatier, Haigh's. They sell a very diverse range of chocolate products and chocolate gift ideas and have the nicest staff within the CBD. The building is on the North West corner of Rundle Mall and King William St and is in the heart of the city. It is accessible via the tram from Glenelg or the Entertainment Centre (Casino area) and has easy access from the major CBD hotels.

“Interesting example of Gothic architecture, city focal point and site of Haigh's chocolate shop”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 November 2013

This building is located on the corner of Rundle Mall- Adelaide's main CBD shopping center.

It's an interesting example of Gothic architecture- built in 1895.

For locals, it's a popular place to meet- being a prominent landmark.

Atop the corner of the building, there's a turret which is decorated with a beehive and bee.

The building houses several shops- on the main corner is the flagship Haigh's chocolate shop- a haven for tasty treats!

This attraction is not a destination; rather an interesting landmark to include in a walking tour of the city.

This isnt an attraction its a building frontage. There is a chocolate shop, a gift shop and a jeweller's in it.
I cant understand why this would get its own listing?

“Adelaide has such a great collection of nicely preserved buildings, this is one of the best”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 July 2013

Adelaide has such a great collection of nicely preserved buildings, this is one of the best. I really liked my 5 days in Adelaide and some of the best viewing was from North Terrace, King William St, and Hindly, Rundle. So many breathtakingly nice buldings, this is one of the best.
