We had a nice steak dinner at Gauchos. The meat was the best we had during our four weeks stay in Aussie. The restaurant was busy and therefore a bit noisy for my taste. We asked the waitress about the wine list, but she told us to wait for the sommelier (or at least we thought so). He recommended two different wines based on personal experience, and none of them lived up to our expectations. And why on earth do they serve red wine at room temperature - about 25 degrees? Any serious restaurant should know better than to keep and serve red wine at room temp in the midst of summer in Adelaide, it is not supposed to be lukewarm!

Nothing to dislike, everything to like. Great service, very professional staff and excellent organisation.

The food was superb, the steak was cooked perfectly, the wines matched the food and the sides were tasty, especially the Kipfler potatoes.

Highly recommended. A must-do for your trip to Adelaide!

Whenever I'm entertaining Interstate clients I always make sure I dine at Gauchos.
Booked a table for 3 on what turned out to be a busy Tuesday night and as usual was not disappointed. Service and attentiveness of our waitress was top notch and the combination of those dynamic Diablo Oysters, perfectly cooked steak and bottle of red never fails to impress. Word of advice, watch out for the flying waiters that buzz around the restaurant at 100mph on a busy night if your making your way to the bathroom.
All in all a great experience and I look forward to the next time I dine at this iconic restaurant.

The restaurant was totally booked out & the atmosphere was buzzing. My hubby & his work delegate ordered the 2KG steak & it was totally enormous. I opted for a small scotch fillet which was juicy, tender & perfectly cooked. We shared a fresh green salad which was sufficient as the "boys" were having trouble finishing their almighty massive steaks.

Gaucho's is definitely a restaurant for the "Boys" & most of the restaurant was filled with men whom all seemed to be totally enjoying the food.

We will certainly return back to Gaucho's restaurant when visiting Adelaide as we all absolutely loved it. Bookings are advisable as the whole restaurant was booked out on the evening & it was only a Wednesday night.

Party of 6, late arrival, table quickly made up near the window. Waitress was one of the most pleasant, patient and smiley one I have had in Australia in a long time. Food was quick and done perfectly. Highly recommended. If you dare there is the famous 2kg steak to share. If you are in Adelaide don't miss this place.
