There is a lot to like about this apartment, and some not so great things as well.
The location is fabulous - a few steps from the Central Market and Gouger St, and right in the heart of the city. And the secure parking is great. The views are wonderful - over the city and out towards the hills. However, for the price we paid, there are some disappointments.
First, the tap water is absolutely vile - undrinkable. We shot out and bought drinking water straight away. For somewhere billed as a luxury apartment, there should be a water filter tap. The kitchen is good, but the cooking utensils were less than desirable. One tiny saucepan, and one super large pasta saucepan, and a couple of fry pans. For people who like to cook like we do, this was not good. There are plenty of wine glasses, crockery and cutlery.
The window blinds don't touch each other, so a lot of light comes in at the sides and if you need a dark bedroom for sleeping, this is less than ideal.
One of the shower heads (an adjustable height type) kept falling off the pole it screws on to - very painful when it is flailing around your ankles, and annoying.
The second bedroom has no storage at all, so for anything longer than a weekend, this could become another annoying point.
Last, the trade off with the great location is - the city is very noisy at night! There was a loud altercation down in the street in the early hours one night; the council workmen start at the crack of dawn with blower-vacs and then we'd just gone off to sleep again when 3 large fire appliances roared through a nearby street, complete with flashing lights and sirens.
So on balance, although the location is great, we wouldn't stay here again.
