“Best night sleep in 2 weeks of travelling”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 April 2011

We stayed at the Underground B & B for 2 nights. The kids and my husband loved staying underground and noodling for Opals during the day. It was so clean and inviting we could have happily stayed for a week or more. Ana and Ken are great hosts who are willing to offer advice and assistance when needed. We used the BBQ and facilities for breakfast and dinner whilst the kids relaxed in the spa. I would recommend this great B & B to families and people who are travelling in a small groups ie 2 familiies.

Our stay here with Ana and Ken was beyond expectations. Our suite was spacious ,so tastefully decorated and soooooo clean which was so good. The bottle of wine 'gift' on our bed was excellent - we had it on our first day home! The lounge was very very comfortable and home away from home. Ken could not have done more for us and the tours he organised were fantastic. Especially the flight over Lake Eyre as well as the drive to the Breakaways. He even drove us around the new estate. And - being a miner - he kindly drove us out to his mine which was so interesting for us. Every recommendation Ken made was exactly right. Well stocked frig, cookies on the table when we arrived 'home' and the friendly 'Happy Hour' - or was it two, Ervin said 3?!! All to make us feel at home. Enjoy Portugal again both of you.
We would recommend this home to everyone. They can accommodate 3 couples and each room as tastefully decorated as ours.

what an amazing place, so much work has gone into making this place awesome, the owner Ken was a great host and couldn't do enough for us all. The price is all worth the stay, everything is laid out for you and you could ask for more. Highly recommended

After visiting the unique township of Coober Pedy a number of times and always staying in the centre of town at various establishments it was refreshing to discover the Under Ground Bed and Breakfast a few blocks out of the centre. With it's fully self contained kitchen down in the accomodation area, we were able to do a quick shop in town and return to the relaxed atmosphire of the entertainment/BBQ/Spa area just outside our room to chillout after our long journey. Our hosts, Anna and Ken made us feel like we were part of the family from the start and would like to thank them for their outstanding hopitality and amazing accomodation. We would no doubt recommend their place to anyone and will definately be staying with them on future travels.
Thank's heaps Guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Staying underground really is the only way to see Coober Pedy. Anna and Ken were absolutely fantastic hosts especially with the kids and the property was emmaculate. It was so still and quiet our daughter had the biggest sleepin she has had in ages. The kids also really loved "noodlling - fossicking" for stone outside the B & B. We regret not getting Ken to take us on a tour of the area as well. We really could not fault the place, although we did have it to ourselves and might have felt a bit less intimate if others were staying as well.

We stayed here on our way to Darwin from NSW. When we arrived Ken gave us the tour and advised us on all the things to see in the town plus some history and restaurant recommendations. The place was spotless, lovely decor and comfortable room. The self serve breakfast was also faultless. We would definitely recommend this place as good value for money.

After travelling through the outback for over 2 1/2 weeks. In very hot weather, we were heading home (south) from Uluru. We just wanted somewhere to stay where we could 'chill out'. That was value for money, private, clean and comfortable.
We found the Underground bed and breakfast to be all of this and more. There was only 3 of us, we only used 2 bedrooms. There was still another bedroom with its own ensuite available.
Despite the 42oC plus temperatures outside the rooms were a cool low 20's.
Ken and Anna were so welcoming and hospitable. They really made us feel like part of the family. After being at Uluru, where we felt like everyone wanted you for your money. It was nice to meet genuine, country people.
I would definitely stay there again and recommend them to anyone passing through.
We stayed there for 2 nights, I don't think I left the B&B other than to go on a mine tour. We even had an undercover BBQ for tea each night (a novelty for us).
It was a truly relaxing experience. It topped off a wonderful outback adventure.
Thankyou for making us feel like part of your family.
Thankyou Ken and Anna.
