We stayed here for one night on Easter 2014. It was just wonderful. I met both Ken and Anna and they were two of he he most wonderful people that I met on my entire month-long trip to Australia. The Accomodations were fantastic...so comfortable, and felt like home. The room was quiet and we had our best night of sleep there! Anna gave us chocolates and a bottle of wine to welcome us. Special touches like that make it very memorable. Being Easter Sunday, we knew not much would be open in town to eat for dinner, but Ken went out of his was to find a couple options for us and told us how to get a discount on our dinner too! I wish it wasn't so far from home, because I would love to stay here again...even just for the company of Ken and Anna!

It not just the wonderful underground room we slept it (and boy did we sleep well!). It's the two characters, Ken and Ana, that run the place. Ken offered to take us out to his opal mine, a fascinating way to see how CooberPedians work in the field. We also elected to take Ken's extra "Andotour" later in the afternoon, which was a fun four-hour tour of all the strange and unique places in and around Coober Pedy. It included the usual places, but also a tour of an underground home under construction, hills and dales outside of town, the mining areas. After we returned, I borrowed their bike for a spin to town.

It's worth reminding them the night before to pick you up at the bus station... wink, wink.

We booked in to the Underground BnB on our drive from Melbourne to Perth as a little break to spoil ourselves and we were not disappointed.

Ken was exceptionally welcoming and helpful - from providing local knowledge of what to see and do to going above and beyond by helping us sort out our broken down car. He was more than happy to have a chat and you can see why his place is the number one BnB on TripAdvisor.

The place is well kept and it was a great novelty to stay "underground". Located a little outside of the main town, but close to a number of attractions, in a perfect spot. A complimentary bottle of wine on the bed just adds that little bit extra that you would be hard pressed to find elsewhere in Coober Pedy. You can expect a nice space, clean and tidy, friendly hosts, and more than everything you need.

At an affordable price you can't go past the Underground BnB if you are staying in Coober Pedy.

Thanks Ken!

Kaine and Elle

This place was so worth a visit. Beautiful accommodation and excellent hospitality. Owner Ana was generous and kind. She picked us up from the airport and saw to all of our needs. At the end of our stay, once again, she returned us to catch our flight. I highly recommend this B and B to other travellers.

Ken and Ann are the best hosts! Down to earth and make you feel like family! So don't want to go home and stay another week or so! Fresh chook eggs and olives. They enjoy entertaining and not just the adults the kids as well. Even the four legged ones! Love it!!!!

Wanted to visit here for years. My wife and I with some friends from overseas stayed with Ken for 2 nights - morning one, we prepared and ate a perfect breakfast of fresh fruit & scrambled eggs. Ken supplied the fresh eggs from his chickens who live there as well. The Fresh Food People (W) are not really that fresh.

Took us on a great locality tour and out to the Breakaways ( so many statistics in our heads now - e.g. 2.5 million holes drilled in the ground and growing, Dingo Fence - longest manmade structure in the world), helped us with some business leads and overall just made our stay very memorable. Ken could not control the flies though.

Well done Ken and thank you.

As we drove up to the B&B entrance Ken came out and greeted me by name which made for a great start to our stay. We were fortunate enough to be the only guests that day so had the run of the place. Ken showed us around the place and we settled in to our room which was surprisingly comfortable and spacious. The bathroom was very clean and modern and the shower was very refreshing. Ken marked off places of interest in Coober Pedy map so we could see the highlights of the town. Had a great first nights sleep and the darkness in the bedroom when the light went out was amazing. Breakfast was great with lots of choice including fresh eggs from Ken's own "chucks". Next day Ken put his tour guide hat and shirt on and took us out on a Painted Desert tour. We were sorry to leave the B&B as the experience was memorable and we felt like we had made a friend in Ken. If your not sure where to stay in Coober Pedy you won't go wrong staying here.
