A really cool place to stay! You will never stay in a motel like this one with rooms dug into the rocks. The suite was as advertised and worth the little extra it cost. The couple who operate the motel were very nice and accomodating. Don't miss the chance to stay here!

Room Tip: choose the suite

Stayed in the "suite" with own kitchenette and continental breakfast goodies in the room. Large room and large bathroom. Well equipped and very well presented. We stayed 2 nights and found the manageress Mercie to be very hard working and helpful. Our towels were even changed daily - nice touch. Have you even seen a room with 8 double power points? This shows how well our room was fitted out. Upper level rooms face into cavern foyer. Lower level rooms face out to open area. North facing position overlooking norther part of town. Long carport for undercover parking for most vehicles... Great place... Great manageress.
Make sure you do the loop drive north of town to The Breakaways. 25 kms north. Loops around to include dog fence on road from William Creek. 70 kms total loop from town.

Room Tip: Upper level rooms face into entry cavern - you can hear the voices of guests talking as the head for...

Only stayed one night but really enjoyed the experience.Total fluke finding it , but what a place. The lady running it was very helpful showed me around. Continental Breakfast is included and its very well done. The location on the hillside is pretty cool and the room itself was spotless and of course underground - really quiet. Even so it had TV , Ensuite good bed. Quite unique experience. There's also a discount for guests eating at Johns place in town.hope to get back one day and stay longer.

Room Tip: Just go there.

We stayed here for 1 night and found the accommodation quite nice and the staff friendly and helpful. We stayed in one of the two family rooms below the rest of the motel and whilst it was quite nice it was a little disappointing as we were looking forward to the underground feel of no windows and bare rock walls. Our room had a front window (facing outside not into an underground corridor as seen in some traveller photos) and all the walls have been bricked or concreted and painted (apart from one small strip in the top corner of the bunk room). So we really didn't feel like we were underground at all.

We stayed only one night however it was enough to demonstrate the value for money and customer service here. Mike went out of his way, literally, to make our stay easy even to the point of picking us up from the restaurant in town after dinner. The rooms are well appointed and of course unusual. A simple continental breakfast completes the package.

Came through on our way up and back again to Uluru. This great motel was a real bottler and it was well looked forward to on the way home. The rooms were well spaced and family friendly and the beds were the most comfortable of the trip. Placed in a quiet part of town it offered easy access to the main strip whilst providing good off road discrete accommodation. No traffic noise here and wonderful views. Mike our host on the second leg is a great bloke. Thanks again for our stay. David
