It is a long, windy, 12 km drive up the side of the mountain and the road is a bit small so passing cars in the other direction requires lots of concentration but the view up the top is magnificent! On the day that we we there it was cold but you expect that being so high up. We could see a 360 degree panorama of Hobart and we were even higher than some clouds. It is a great way to start a holiday in Tasmania as you can see how green and hilly the place is.
