Four of us recently enjoyed a visit to this restaurant which overlooks the bay, on a cool day. It was warm inside with a lovely fire near the front door to allow us to warm our bones.

Our meals were all beautifully cooked and presented and the service was faultless and friendly. These were some of the best presented meals we have enjoyed when dining out in recent times.

WOW! 5 courses of duck and each was wonderful. Each course was different and full of flavour. Highly recommended.

Tucked away in Cornelian Bay, away from the CBD or trendy North Hobart, is the Boathouse. Situated opposite sporting fields and beside a playground, expectations may be low....but this restaurant is very good. A limited but yummy menu, with one of each meat on offer plus a vegetarian option. Portions are generous and the desserts decadent. Service is warm and relaxed whilst still attentive. A popular spot for couples as well as family groups. Much better value than most of the North Hobart options, with fantastic views of the Derwent and the Tasman Bridge.

We dined here for Lunch during a weekday. Menu was small but offered a variety of food for everyone. 5 star personalised service. Beautiful outlook and ample parking. Well priced and great tasting food. Will definitely be back thank you.

Love this restaurant, Friendly service, have been able to get a table without prior booking. Good in winter as there is a lovely fire. Great food, wine, deserts and coffee.Service was a little slow for a large group ( 10 ). But worth the wait. The duck, kangaroo and fish and chips are all favourites. The kiosk is handy for grabbing some wedges and coffee and relaxing while the kids enjoy the play ground. ( huge serves)
