We had a Devine breakfast, with great service. The food was great, the Salmon scrabbled egg was a stand out. Great coffee too.
A stack of pastries to take away, a must while in Hobart.

This place was brilliant. We arrived shortly after open time (0700) on a Saturday morning keen to get an early breakfast before tackling the Salamanca Market with an energetic and excited toddler. The range of delicacies had us speechless – yeah, OK, we don’t get out much, but this place is amazing! The display cases and fridges were full of every imaginable type of bread, cake and pastry, all perfect little works of art. Service was very fast as you would expect at that time of day, and the staff were friendly and cheerful. The breakfast options were pretty basic, but completely delicious. We had the trio of toasts with house made jam, and tomato avocado toast with Dijon dressing. All fresh and tasty, and generous servings. Coffee was good too. Had a citrus tart (my staple!) and certainly up there with the best that I have had. Really recommend a visit to this place.

This bakery is under my workplace so is a popular spot when need cakes etc for morning tea or need to have a meeting out of the office.

The pastries and bread are lovely, though the lunch items are expensive.

The coffee tastes like water that someone had wafted a few coffee beans over then served lukewarm. Meetings here have stopped due to the foulness of the coffee.

The lunch salads are overly complicated and the pumpkin salad bought by my work mate tasted rancid. When she tried to provide some quiet feedback about this, she was rudely and loudly told that "she should take her pedestrian tastes to Harbour Lights" (another cafe around the corner).

The service is not great with new waitresses nearly every week looking glazed and confused.

The service set up is terrible with one till that requires lining up for takeaways or eating in. Agonisingly slow.

So yes buy the cakes and enjoy the sweets. They are very delicious.
Just get coffee elsewhere and sit in Parliament park and enjoy a much more enjoyable atmosphere.

When you see the pride that this patisserie shows displaying their pastries/breads/sweets (& the volume they do it at)you will be blown away by the choice and quality. I was fighting my inner glutton not to order everything! Pretty cakes, colourful slices & intriguing combinations all incased in a old world charmed room with antique details. A Hobart must!

This is a gorgeous little bakery/patisserie. Very popular. Our meal was simple but delicious (Croque Monsieur). We followed this up with a delightful dessert. The name escapes me but it had a macaron on the bottom with a set vanilla custard top. Very morish!! We could have sat inside all afternoon. The atmosphere was beautiful.
