“Central for our needs.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 April 2014

We drove to the hotel - and realised I'd forgotten to ask about parking! There is no parking but 3 blocks away is a multi storey car park at $15 a day - not a problem. The rooms are large and comfortable, we had all we needed. Our room was on the road side but noise was not a problem. We walked 2 blocks to the harbour with dozens of restaurants and Salamanca markets a short stroll further.

I stayed here 2 nights on a recent business trip. I was a bit turned off as the car park was a block and a half away.
However, they have a loading zone outside, you can use while checking in.
The hotel and my apartment were beautiful and very quiet.
The car park was a bit to walk but not too bad.
The only thing I did not like was that you can't open any window for fresh air, only aircon
Also the breakfast was a shocker, it's a total rip of for $10 as there was no decent food at all. You be better off to go to DOME across the road
Staff were friendly and very helpful at all times. I will be back but skit breakky.

We stayed here for 3 nights on a 5 day weekend. We had walking access to everything, restaurants, wharf, attractions, ferry, shops, lots. We stayed in a studio apartment, it was clean, spacious, comfortable bed and enjoyable. If we come back to Hobart we would definitely stay here again. Front reception staff Chloe and others were very helpful and cheerful! enjoyed out time here.

Thanks heaps to Chloe at the front reception for saving our wedding anniversary. A booking error online meant that I booked one of the standard rooms instead of the Executive Suite which had me sweating when I opened the door and realised I was in a room that wasn't the one I thought I had booked online. Chloe upgraded us free of charge to the executive suite and saved the day.

Great night at the hotel and the corner spa was great. A very romantic night with my wife.

Thankyou

I stayed in the apartments across the road from the main Building on Boxing day until New Years Day. It is a terrific location and we could not have asked for better. Walking distance to the wharfe and at the doorstep is the Elizabeth Street Mall. We found the rooms to be great, only problem is a very tiny shower, but other than that great. Very clean and having the kitchen facilities was a great bonus if you want to save some extra $$$$$$$. I would not hesitate to stay there again. Who knows, maybe Tassie next Christmas for another great Holiday. Thanks.

Room Tip: excellent location and great value

Dear PEN70
Just a note to say thank you for sharing your feedback on Trip Advisor.
Our location is certainly a major attraction of ours, being located so close to all that Hobart has to offer. I am pleased to hear the room was ideal and met your accommodation needs during a very festive time in Hobart.
We would love to have you stay again at Christmas, please contact us directly if returning and we will look after you as a repeat guest!
Kind Regards,
Sally Moore

Around New Year it was tough to find accommodation- although Quest Savoy was out of my budget, it was the only place available. However, it turned out to be quite good. While I thought we had booked a room in the cheaper building, we ended up in the main hotel which was great. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious with all the amenities you would expect in an apartment setup. As some have mentioned, there is nowhere to park when checking in, so we were forced to stop in a loading zone. Seems a bit silly to force guests into illegally parking but luckily we didn't attract too much attention. We were returning our hire car that day so didn't need to park overnight, but I was told it was $12 in a garage two blocks away. The location of the hotel is excellent- right in the CBD and a short stroll to the water. It is also next to the bus mall- if going to MONA you can easily take the bus instead of the ferry. Overall this was nice for a short stay.

Dear Vantango
Thank you for sharing your experience staying at Quest Savoy, I am glad to hear you enjoyed your stay. We do like to offer the occasional room upgrade for guests when available.
We do have a parking bay at the front of the hotel, offered for guests checking in and out. This is specifically for our guests, and is in no way illegal for guests to use. The car park we use is a rate of $15.00 per night and is a very safe and secure parking option, located 2 blocks away. However, as you described being so central and walking distance to attractions, the vehicle can remain in the secure car park.
Once again, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback.
Regards
Sally Moore

It was hard to find accommodation in Hobart in the first few days of Jan with the Sydney to Hobart and Taste of Tasmania food festival on, however I managed to find these apartments for my two night stay. Whilst not in the main section of the hotel, it is just across the mall, and only 100m from the water. It was exceptionally clean and had all the facilites of a hotel, just minus room service or movies, but with so much going on in Hobart, I was not in my room much at all to need these things. There is a large kitchen and a dining table and despite my room facing the main street and the bus stop, was very quiet. The staff were exceptionally friendly when I checked in, and when I needed a spare key. Would recommend to others.
