I knew that this was a high quality hotel but really was most impressed by it. Hubby and I had a studio room, with King bed. It also had a small lounge area with a massive TV. It got all the free-to-air digital channels available and in-house movie channels. It boasted a full kitchen which was well presented and easy to use.

The room also had individually controlled air-conditioning, which we used. It could be a little noisy.

The bathroom was lovely and had all the extras you would expect of a luxury hotel.

The bed was luxurious, comfy and easy to sleep in. I had a great night's sleep both night I stayed here.

The staff were helpful and friendly. We had trouble logging on, and staying logged on, to the internet (which we purchased access to). They ensured that we could keep logging on, at no extra cost. The bathroom door squeaked something wicked and we asked for it to be fixed and it was, quickly and effectively, and did not squeak again!

This is not a property we would normally stay at, due to the cost, but it was a nice change for us. Due to its location it was a 2 minute walk to the local Salamanca Market; well worth a visit. It was then just a short stroll to the waterfront where you have the choice of lots of places to eat. A very popular place for locals and visitors alike.

We highly recommend this property if you are looking for quality and luxury in a nice place to stay then this is a great choice.

The hotel is perfectly situated for visiting Hobart and has good parking available. Our room was unusual (duplex setup) but well appointed and clean. Checkin was very quick and effortless, and service came with a genuine friendly smile. View from the room (to the rear of the hotel) was nothing to shout about - mostly car park), but all in all I would recommend this hotel as a great base for touring the city and surrounds. There are a number of pubs and small restaurants just around the corner, as well as a small supermarket, which is very handy if you're looking to cater for yourself in the room.

Hotel restaurant - Beef and Seafood Restaurant: service was initially a little slow (but there was a large function happening) and the food was pretty good. Waiting staff were friendly and eager to please. Not a fine dining experience but reasonable value.

Just a few steps down to the markets and restaurants . The hotel is a little dated but very clean with helpful staff . The many room combinations was great for a family group travelling together . Not the cheapest for just a couple but value for the family of 5 in our group

Located just off Salamanca Place this was a great spot for a girls weekend away. We booked a one bedroom apartment, and had the queen bed in the main room split in two. Bunks were in a separate room so the set up would be perfect for a couple with kids. The small kitchen with dishwasher was wasted on us as we ate out - but the couch area was roomy and perfect for enjoying few glasses of Tassie wine & local cheese from Salamanca market.

This is a great spot to stay as it is within walking distance of the city centre , the waterfront, Battery Point, Sandy Bay and of course Salamanca Place. We had a queen suite which was very comfortable and clean with all the facilities we needed for a 5 night stay, including a well equipped kitchen.
Undercover parking and the free laundry facilities were a plus. The only down side was the noise at night (weekend) as revellers were leaving the nearby bars. We did have our windows open so having them closed may have helped.
The staff were all really friendly and helpful.

The location of the Salamanca Inn has to be its number one selling point. A short stroll and you are down at the harbour and its not very far to the shops in the city. Very clean and helpful staff who seemed genuinely keen to answer questions.

Excellent location to everything. Room, two bedroom suite, perfect. Only two complaints, king bed is two singles joined together. Having a bad lower back, I woke up in agony every morning, my problem though. Wifi is rubbish, well on level three it was. Having to pay for a low quality service is a bit of a joke.

Free laundry, fantastic. Free parking

Would return without hesistation.
