Owner description: Come aboard, relax and enjoy Tall Ship sailing within one of the world's most picturesque harbours. The Lady Nelson is a full size replica of the original England built Brig that the first settlers to Hobart arrived in. Short harbour sails provide a unique opportunity to experience tall ship sailing. Haul on a line, steer the ship, talk to the captain and crew or just relax and enjoy the magnificent views of Hobart. The Lady Nelson is available for private charter and offers multi-day sailing trips exploring places such as Port Arthur, Tasman Peninsular, Bruny Island and the d'Entrecasteaux Channel. The ship can also be booked as a unique waterside venue for functions, parties and historical talks.

Would totally recommend going sailing on this beautiful ship . My husband surprised me with a two day sail and overnight stay on her it was absolutely awesome . The crew just couldn't do enough for us .we were really spoilt the whole time we were there. Will defiantly be doing it again.

Had a wonderful short trip out of Hobart on the River Derwent aboard the Lady Nelson. An almost exact replica of the ship built in London on the River Thames which eventually sailed up The River Derwent in 1803. A friendly and knowledgable volunteer crew encouraged us to help with the ropes while the sails were set. A great trip and highly reccommended.
( could be a taster for some of the longer trips the Lady Nelson makes during the summer )

On a lovely sunny Saturday stroll about Hobart on our weekend get away, my wife happened to notice that the Lady Nelson was about to embark on a 90 min cruise on the Hobart harbour. We were welcomed on board by an enthusiastic, dedicated and knowledgable crew, a wonderful afternoon was turned into a magical almost emotional experience, an unforgettable beautiful end to a wonderful trip to the Apple Isle..I highly recommend the Lady Nelson and her Crew.

A lovely time out on the Derwent River, sailing a mini tall ship.
The volunteers were great and involved us all as much or as little as we wanted. Do yourselves a favour. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Since been a volunteer, this is a great way for tourists and visitors to come & experience a wonderful time on the river derwent. People of all ages get there 1st hand experience of learning to sail a square rigger. What en spins me the most is when we get new people joining up as a volunteer & learning from the beginning & working from the bottom up. This great for our association which is growing by years going by.... ;-) ;-) ;-) :-D ;-) ;-)
