Just back to the real world after four nights at The Islington, and what a lovely hotel it is. I have decided that warmth and generosity of attitude are what define a happy hotel experience for us, and The Islington excels in both.
The warmth is in the genuine welcome, and the conversations with Selena, Tara and Maya, who, in a very short time, come to feel like friends. The generosity is in every part of The Islington; more thick towels, bathroom products, soft pillows than you can possibly use; an all day help yourself supply of coffee, tea, muffins, fruit, biscuits; dream tea at night; new magazines and coffee table books.
And instead of being confined to a hotel room, there are three beautiful sitting rooms to enjoy - we especially loved sitting in front of the log fire in the conservatory. Guests are encouraged to treat the hotel as home, and we certainly felt very comfortable there. I would wish that breakfast and dinner at home could be such a daily gourmet experience.
Thank you everyone at The Islington for such a happy, luxurious stay, and we will be back - you have created something special.More
