Wear comfortable walking shoes, and take lots of photos. There are a number of cafes to stop in along the way

Not much too do, very bored being from Melbourne. Go on the Ghost tour, nothing else to do, the buildings were more interesting than the fake stories told!

We kept reading about Battery point, but when we arrived there it is nothing but a range of houses from olden times with some different architecture... Am not sure to this day, what is the big deal about it. It can be easily ignored.

Thank alulla

Battery point is very cute. Must take your camera and go for a walk. It's like stepping back in time.
Give yourself a couple of hours and you must try the bakery for a quick bite to eat.....
If your deciding where to stay near hobart, consider Battery point. Walking distance to Salamanca market and the esplanade, shops and restaurants. There are also a few beautiful restaurants right at your door step in battery point.
