We booked online to stay a night in this apartment. No problem with that, and all ok with the 1 bed apartment, but the parking arrangements were a problem. It is advertises free onsite parking, which is true, unless...... you have a medium size SUV that won't fit under the roofline. On a Friday afternoon we had to park on the street in limited stay areas and then move the vehicle regularly until after hours when restrictions were lifted. Nothing in the venue information about this and it spoiled our initial enjoyment while we faffed around moving the car for a couple of hours. Be aware!

We stayed in a penthouse overlooking the park opposite. It was well appointed with kitchen facilities, two televisions ,large bath and leather lounge suites. The king sized bed was extremely comfortable with room service daily. The walk to Salamanca place shops was a few minutes duration as was the wharf area. Beautiful shops abound as restaurants with magnificent food. Rockwall was excellent ! Visit the Mona gallery by ferry, buy a ticket on the double decker English bus valid for 3 days and visit other attractions such as the Cascade Brewery, female factory and botanical gardens.Breakfast can be had downstairs at the separate business if required. Very quiet location with slight glimpses of the water and Salamanca out of our window.Felt the rates are a little pricey for the room but we stayed over the Melbourne Cup period. Overall a good experience.

I was forced to stay here on business recently as all hotels in Hobart were booked out.

I wasn't too disappointed when I found out, because of the great reviews it is getting, but I really don't see how it could possibly exceed expectations in any way. And now I read closely most of my negatives are in other reviews.

Now there isn't anything particularly wrong with it, but:
- it is a serviced apartment, not a hotel, so staff are few and far between. The cafe next door didn't seem aware that they were supposed to have a charge back arrangement to the apartment.
- all the bedrooms were on the corridors, and I could hear everybody getting in and out of the lifts very clearly.
- there is very little hanging space in the rooms.
- the ironing board is a joke and there is no decent mirror.
- the outlook from the room was quite unpleasant

It is a good sized apartment right next to Salamanca markets, and staff (when located) were very friendly and helpful. But it is certainly nothing special.

What a great hotel. Large apartment with fantastic sized bathroom. The position is just perfect we walked everywhere. Just around the corner from salamanca and battery point shops and restaurants. Very comfy beds and friendly unobtrusive service. Just right

A near-new 5 or 6 story, fully serviced, apartment style hotel. Quite a narrow building, with an internal car stacker for 14 cars.
Likes: Car stacker keeps your car safe and off the street. Good supply of condiments and mini bar in the room. A good little washing machine / dryer in the room.
Dislikes: Can be a little claustrophobic - the only window is at the rear, with a brick wall a metre outside the (only) glass in our room, meaning there's absolutely no outlook. We paid $295 in October 2013 and got room # 5.....Another annoying feature was the lack of a shaver socket in the bathroom handy to the mirrors.

Room Tip: If booking, I suggest a phone call to ensure you get a second floor room, or higher.

This is a wonderful small modern hotel in an excellent location. It is smart, luxurious and has great staff. We booked a Premium Apartment for 5 nights in October and were delighted with the accommodation. I had specifically requested a room with a bath (not all of these types have baths) and were not disappointed. The bed was extremely comfortable, the lounge/kitchen area was light and spacious and had a very nice sofa and the bathroom was a real treat. It had a deep spa bath and wonderful shower plus generous storage and surface areas. The room also had a washing machine/dryer which was an unexpected bonus.

Staff were very helpful and friendly and the place was bright, fresh and immaculate.

Location is right next to Salamanca Market so provides easy access to all the Hobart favourites but is peaceful at night.

We would return to Hobart just to stay in this wonderful boutique hotel again.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back on the second and third floors have plenty of light and our nice and quite.
