Tucked into a suburban shopping strip, Don Camillo's is apparently a long-time favourite in Hobart. And we could see why. Service was quick, friendly and efficient, the room itself, whilst Saturday-night busy, was not too loud, and the food was excellent. I was there with a group of nine, visiting Hobart from Melbourne. We eat together regularly in an excellent modern Italian restaurant and felt this compared favourably to our Melbourne favourite. To top it off, when I rang later to ask whether by chance my new brooch was there, the young woman who answered the phone offered to drop it to my accommodation when she got off work as I was without wheels. Entirely consistent with the excellence we experienced all evening. Oh, and save room for the sweets. We shared the homemade cassata and tiramisu and both were beautiful!
