“Brunch”
Reviewed 12 October 2013

Brunch menu varied - something for all. One of the party had a full breakfast - great value and fresh, hot. Muesli for one, well presented, tasty, and eggs hollandaise another. Again, well presented and hot, tasty. Be warned though - this is a very popular place, so bookings strongly advised.

“Unique atmosphere, great food”
Reviewed 6 October 2013

We enjoyed a great lunch at machine cafe yesterday ... the washing machines and 50's style decor is fun and different from the many eateries around Salamanca. The staff were friendly, efficient and attentive despite being very busy! Our order was taken promptly and our food arrived without any delays. Both the ABC burger and the fat boy were delicious! The satay sauce on the fat boy was a winner! Good balance of peanut pieces and spice. The pots of tea were generous, which is a nice change from many restaraunts which leave you wanting that additional mouthful of tea. All the meals coming from the kitchen looked appetising - so many dishes in the menu sounded delicious. A great way to enjoy a lazy Saturday ....

“Very nice”
Reviewed 25 September 2013

Great coffee, great service and very nice food. We had the banana bread which was delicious and the scrambled egg roti which was different but a little sweet for my liking. All in all a good experience in Salamanca.

“Good coffee, yummy food.”
Reviewed 22 September 2013 via mobile

I visited this cafe on a quiet rainy Hobart morning - not a market day. The coffee was well made, the service friendly (even for hipsters, bless the friendly Hobartians!) and my egg breakfast was really tasty. The breakfast menu features your regular bacon and egg offerings but also includes options that are imaginative and healthy. Vegetarians and vegans also catered for.

The setting is retro cool, with Formica tables - and yes, it is a functioning laundry too. The machines are cordoned off by a glass wall, so you get the effect as it were, but not the noise. Recommended.

Travel safe :)
