25 minute drive from Hobart in a rural situation. We'll equipped, clean, modern, 3 bedrooms-- lack of a second loo might be a minor problem if 6 stayed!-- "cottage", one of two, with excellent local store up the road, supermarkets nearer Hobart, and a club serving good food, with bar and a golf course down the road, in the direction of a number of beautiful beaches. WiFi available only through phone. Great place to enjoy the sun and listen to the Kookaburras, and a lot more, and to use as a base for exploring beautiful SE Tasmania and Hobart. Car a must.We took a punt on this last minute booking and were very glad we did.
We stayed at this new and modern B & B at Sandford in Tasmania. Mick & Eileen were very welcoming and friendly. We found a large 3 bedroom cottage down a country lane that was extremely well furnished, comfortable and clean. The kitchen was outstanding with every appliance you could think of. The cupboards and fridge were stocked for our stay, freshly baked bread, delicious home made jam and all the home comforts. We could not fault a thing with this beautiful country cottage. The sunset and sunrise were stunning. As we arrived near tea time, Mick directed us to the South Arm RSL Inn about 5mins down the road, where we had the most sumptuous 2 course buffet meal for only $20. We would highly recommend these cottages if you are looking for a country feel with all the comforts you will ever need on your holiday or short break. Thank you Mick & Eileen for making us feel very welcome.
