Just your typical backpacker cheap accommodation. Free Internet, tea, coffee and breakfast, plus free pancakes on Sunday and a free pasta night, all very appreciated for the money you're paying, but doesn't take away the fact youre in the red light district which can be quite rough, reception guy from Belgium is really good at his job, but the hostel itself can be quite depressing, poor shower, over crowded rooms, loud music next door, tv room might aswell not exist.
All in all, there are better hostels for the same price or a few bucks more.

There is no elevator in this hostel so make sure you stay at lower floor. Although only 1/2 hour free internet provided, you gotta queue to use the computer.Toilet and bathroom at second floor are small and look dirty, please see the photo attached. I like the location as it's very near to southern cross station but quite a walking distance to CBD and the shopping area. Recommend for short stay. Receptionists are very friendly.

Room Tip: stay at lower floor if you have big and heavy luggage

everyone is OK but One of the Receptionist is very rude, uses coarse languages all the times with eyes red, looks very rough.. so don't expect good customer service... the toilet and bathroom walls are very dirty with lot of spitting spots, even the bath and toilet door lock is broken, sometimes you cant get toilet paper. The bed sheets were folded after use and given to another guest. Location is good just walkable distance to Southern Cross station. Breakfast and tea & Coffee is free .

Very bad experience.

Room Tip: Yha and Flinders land Backpacker are good..

Firstly its in a great location, very close to the Southern Cross Train Station and the Skybus. The staff there are very helpful and friendly and will look after you. The free internet, even though its limited, is always a plus and the free breakfast of toast or cereal are a really great touch.

That said its not the cleanest hostel. The whole place could do with a basic makeover just to smarten it up a bit. And the showers, at least the ones that we used, were poor. The hostel is great as a stopover for a couple of days but any more than that and you'll wanna look for somewhere else.

Oh, and avoid staying on a Friday and Saturday night. The night club next door loves to produce a scrap or full blown fight at a rate of about 1 an hour. And with every fight comes the sirens, so try and avoid a weekend.

I've been in an 6 share female room. Very smelly. Airconditioner was far too cold, they didn't want to turn it off. Store your language for free. Staff was very helpful with carrying the bags upstairs, cause they don't have a lift. Small kitchen.
Cleaners are not very tidy.

Pros :
– Great location to Southern Cross Central Station / Southbank / Local Free Trams and Flagstaff gardens.
– Helpful friendly staff
– Breakfast included, Free Tea and Coffee in the day and a couple of free meals in the week, but need to be very prompt!
– Hot showers
– Air con keeps the rooms nice and cool
– Lockers and spacious beds, little creaky but comfortable

Cons :
– Bit costly compared to other hostels in the cbd
– Gets quite busy
– No evening films for chilling out
– Bathrooms could be a little cleaner
– Local clubs make the weekends very loud, (sometimes until 4am)

Room Tip: The smaller rooms arent necessarily more spacious. The six room is more spacious than the 4 bedroom...
