The hotel is in a great spot, just around the corner from the Bourke St.Mall.The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful with any queries we had.Short stroll to tram stop. The interior could do with carpet cleaning an a lick of paint. The breakfast was very enjoyable with any amount of things to eat.Would stay again.

This hotel has a great location only a short walk to Emporium and eateries. It was very clean with basic facilities. I was very happy with my stay even though the room was small I was grateful for the cleanliness and location.

The service level from staff ranged from nonchalant to down right rude, the shower was so mouldy you couldn't see the grout anymore and a maintenance item (in the name of a blown light globe in the bathroom) that delayed our check in for 7 hours still wasn't fixed when we checked out 5 days later. I have emailed the hotel to try to give them feedback about our stay and keeping with the level of service we received whilst staying at the hotel, we have not had a response. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and would never stay here again.

This hotel has a lot of potential. Location is brilliant, at the end of Bourke St Mall, near lots of eateries. The entrance is off a small laneway which was deserted on the weekend except for 2 small food joints that often had customers in the evenings. It was certainly quiet.

The main issue for me was the bedding. The mattress itself was ok - with a 'pillow top' it was definitely comfortable. The sheets however I think were for standard single beds and with the pillow top in situ weren't big enough to be tucked in properly. This meant that in the course of tossing and turning overnight the bottom sheet ends up down around your shoulders and the pillow rests directly on the mattress protector. The pillows were also lousy, crushing down to nothing which meant I woke up with a sore neck in the morning. The friend I was travelling with actually had to resort to purchasing a pillow as she couldn't face using the hotel pillows again.

We had room 770 which is furthest from the lift and quiet but had an odd lay out as it was wide but shallow.... as you walked in there was a kitchenette (microwave and kettle) and bathroom to your right, a couch against the wall on your left and as you walked around the corner there were the two single beds and a desk along the far wall with a large flat screen tv resting on it. This meant the desk was not to be used as a desk ... if you were watching tv from bed you had to have your head rotated to the right ... and if you were sitting on the couch at the far end of the room it was a bit too far away. They almost need to invest in a wall bracket for the tv and hang it from the wall between the windows so that when you're in bed you're looking directly at it????

The free continental breakfast included was a nice touch... although with so many great breakfast places in Melbourne we decided not to go every morning.

Would I stay again? Not sure .... perhaps if I was on my own and in town for shopping and had a queen/king bed ... but travelling with friends in single beds, probably not.

Stayed here for 2 nights from June 20. Very well priced and clean room. Walking distance to MCG and Etihad . Continental breakfast was great. Special thanks to one of the guys at front desk who came up to our room at 3am to tune our TV for the World Cup. Will definitely come back!

Couldn't fault the location, the hotel is close to everything Melbourne"s CBD has to offer. We found all the staff to be welcoming & helpful. We had a deluxe room and found it to be clean and reasonably priced. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet even though it was overlooking the main street.
Will definitely be staying here again.

Perfect perfect perfect location in central Melbourne, located within the laneways area - room on the smaller side but well appointed - we had a king room which was comfortable and more importantly quiet, tea & coffee making facilities, iron and safe supplied.
Staff were friendly helpful and provided great suggestions when asked about restaurants to recommend and routes to get places, were also able to remember what they had suggested the next day and followed up with asking us what we thought of the suggestions, which given the amount of guests I thought was attentive and displayed good training in hospitality.
Parking was subsidised in a nearby parking building which kept costs reasonable and a Complimentary continental breaksfast wasa bonus for early departures and facing a long wait at the airport.
The only suggestion I would make is that the tiles in the shower need a good mould removal for the grout.
Would definitely stay again and look forward to doing so soon, excellent stay and strongly recommend
