“Philip Island/Blue Penguin Ranger Led Private Tour”
Reviewed 6 June 2014

Fantastic tour with Melbourne Private Tours. Jeff our guide was very well informed about the area and super friendly. It was a long 2 hour journey to Philip Island, and he kept us well entertained and informed about everything.

Once we got to the island, we were met by our ranger guide who gave us a history of the island and the little blue penguins. He took us to Churchill Island to view an original settlement from the 1800's and then on to the Koala Conservation Center, where we were able to see the last of the Philip Island koalas in the wild. From there we went to the penguin center where another ranger gave us a brief talk about the penguins and then led us on a short hike to the beach where we sat for about 20 minutes before the penguins came marching in.

The benefit of this tour is that there are only 10 people on it and you are up close to the penguins rather than being in bleachers with sometimes thousands or hundreds of spectators. Also we walked back through the penguin burrows and were able not only to see and hear them, but also see the island's wallabies as well.

After the tour, we were provided with an excellent private dinner with our guide Jeff -- all included.

Highly recommend this tour and using Melbourne Private Tours -- they are excellent.

“Excellent Day in the Yarra Valley with Jeff”
Reviewed 16 May 2014

We started at Healesville Wildlife Sanctuary where Jeff was a real help prioritizing exhibits we were most interested in (platypus!) and alerting us to presentations by sanctuary staff and making sure I held nectar so the parrots in the aviary would perch on my hand. It was a busy Mother's Day in the sanctuary and he made sure our time was well spent. Visited several estate/boutique wineries, including one with arrangements to ship to the US. It was nice to be in charge of the day: we could spend as much time or as little as we wished and when we were ready to go back to our hotel, back we went.

“Understanding Real Melbourne- city tour by Kate”
Reviewed 7 May 2014

Kate gave an overview of the City complete with historical reference points. Very much liked the architectural tour of the new buildings and the walking tour from the days of Chloe through the allies and arcades to the graffiti art of today. Found the tour educational, entertaining and enlightening. Kate was a delightful, informative and friendly.

“Great way to see the country”
Reviewed 6 May 2014

We were looking to see the Mornington Peninsula area with no stress. This was achieved. We were picked up by Bruce and spent the day with him. He gave us some history and we stopped along the way at different sites. We went to a few wineries and stopped for tea.
Bruce gave us great suggestions for restaurants for once we returned to Melbourne (More local hang outs instead of stuffy fancy restaurants).
It was so perfect to have a private driver so we could relax the whole day with wine at lunch and wine tasting. No getting lost, no arguments amongst our couple. 100 % relaxation.
