Crown Metropol Melbourne

We stayed in a Luxury Twin Room which was spacious and clean. The only minor concern we had involved the bathroom area. Although it can be closed off visually the sound from this area can still be heard quite clearly. Staying in the Crown complex gives you easy access to the Casino, Cinema and of course many restaurants and food outlets.

I regularly stay at the Crown Metropol for business and have never been disappointed.

The rooms at the Metropol are well appointed with over-sized beds, plenty of desk space to carry out work and lounge area to relax. The bathrooms are also nicely finished with an excellent selection of bathroom lotions and the like. The one glaring omission is the lack of bath but this does not detract from the overall experience. The minibars are always well-stocked and with a large selection of cable television channels there's something for everyone.

The hotel service, generally, is without fault. Every member of staff at the hotel that I have come into contact with from the valet at check-in to the hosts at the level 28 lounge are an absolute pleasure to deal with and add to the overall experience of the hotel.

Dining at the hotel has many options. The in-room dining options are extensive and delicious. Meals are a little on the expensive side but well worth it. The Mr Hive Kitchen and Bar is a great asset to the hotel. I have not yet had dinner there, however, the breakfast is amongst the better that you tend to expect from hotels. However, if you want a great breakfast with a panoramic view of the Melbourne CBD, look no further than Level 28.

Another advantage of the hotel is that it is connected to the rest of the Crown complex which opens up endless shopping, dining and entertainment opportunities. A stay at the Metropol should not be missed.

I recently stayed at the Crown Metropol, I normally always stay at the Grand Hyatt but due to attending a conference the location of Crown was easier. The hotel is beautiful, nice interiors albeit a bit dim, good sized bedrooms and comfortable beds. The staff however, completely ruined the overall experience. Everything was too difficult and requesting anything (be it an iPhone charger or the bill) from the front desk became laborious, time consuming and downright painful. I think the staff would do well to be re-educated on what customer service really means.

Room Tip: 1947 is a good size but overlooks a carpark

I will only ever stay at Crown Metropol in Melbourne. Travel is my work, so I am always excited when I can visit my home city of Melbourne.
The Metropol is always outstanding! The staff, the atmosphere, the food, the drinks ... I could go on.
The LUXE rooms are a nice size and offer all you need for a few nights stay.
The pool area is something else and I recommend some lazy time, even if you are on business.
It is a perfect corporate or leisure hotel and they cater to both very well.
Level 28 is the BEST BAR/LOUNGE in Melbourne and one of our best kept secrets. Drinks are reasonably priced and the view is wonderful.
Thanks again Metropol for another perfect stay!

Room Tip: All rooms are wonderful ... You cannot go wrong!

I stayed in a Luxe King suite at the beginning of May 2014 with my partner and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. After staying at Crown Towers not even 6 months ago, my preference now lies with Metropol and here is why;

- As a professional young couple we found the rooms were more modern and sleek for our taste.

- The customer service seemed friendlier and less pretentious than at Crown Towers, with staff wishing us an enjoyable stay when we were exploring the facilities.

- Check in/out took less than 5 minutes and we got a high floor as requested in the original booking.

- The hotel was very quiet, no corridor or elevator noises and it was only a short walk to the hustle and bustle of all that Crown offers without it being in your face once you step off the lift.

- There was an ice machine on our floor (floor 22), which was a great touch because it meant we didn't have to wait for housekeeping to bring any up for us.

The only negative i can really comment on is that the room had a build up of dust on the shelves behind the bed, which i have noticed another user mentioned in previous reviews as well.

I would recommend staying in this hotel, and will be staying again.
Room Tips; request a high floor facing Crown Towers if you are staying in a Luxe King, there is a car park that could obstruct views on the lower floors and if you are up high you will barely notice it.

great day and night was had at this great Hotel.
Took time out at the SPA and a relaxing swim in the infinity pool overlooking the city.
Rooms were spacious and very comfortable, the modern aspect in design was pleasing. Loved the bathroom, the frosted glass doors were a nice touch.
Really enjoyed the stay.

Room Tip: Views over the river/city side are the best.
