We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment on the 25th floor for a girls weekend away. 1 room had a king size bed and the other 2 singles. The apartment was spacious and clean with a nice view of the city. Location was perfect with many restaurants and bars close by. My sister left a pair of shoes behind and the staff were kind enough to post them to her home at no charge which was lovely. We would stay here again.

Just completed three day stay at this hotel. Location was unbeatable, plenty of places to eat nearby and tram stop right out front door. Close to all shops and centre of city easy to walk to. Staff were pleasant, friendly and keen to help. Went to a great Indian restaurant up the top of Bourke St, (Red Pepper) before we walked to MCG to watch a football game. Can easily walk to Chinatown (one block away) with restaurants +++. Lobby has internet terminals and plenty of brochures for things to see. Stayed on 21st floor with great city views. Would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for high floor, 10+ if you can.

Just checked in today. The size of the room is spacious enough but the room stinks. Convenient location. The view of the studio deluxe is facing some office building which is so closed to the apartment. Not impressed.

Management response:Responded 10 July 2012

Dear Sens_it,

Thank you your recent feedback, and for choosing Citadines on Bourke Melbourne as your “home away from home”.

While we are delighted that our location was suitable to your needs, though we are sorry for the unfortunate odour, which we have since investigated and rectified.

Due to our central location in the city centre, we are inevitably surrounded by tall buildings. For guests who prefer a more panoramic experience, we offer the option of upgrading to a higher floor for a nominal supplement.

Thank you once again for your support of Citadines on Bourke Melbourne Apart’Hotel, and my team and I look forward to welcoming you back in the near future

Kind regards,

Bryan Loh
Assistant Residence Manager

2 Bedroom apartment on the 25th floor was spacious for our family of 5. A simple quiet room with a cool city view and best of all - the location. Only 'hiccup' was the heater in master bedroom was not working. Anton the handyman tried to fix it for a while but to no avail. Eventhough it was a Sunday and he should be on his way home after his shift, he remained cheerful and chatty, thank you.
The breakfast place located in Citadines was a little pricey but there is a small cafe just next to it serves good coffee and sandwiches. Walk further down, you can also find more cafes and some shops in an office building which cater to the office crowd. .
From Citadines, you could easily walk to many attractions like Chinatown, Melbourne Museum and Queen Victoria Market, shopping places like David Jones and Myers.
Highly recommended.

We got to this hotel via wotif mystery deals and couldn't be happier!!! This exceeded our expectations and was like a mini apartment! Everything was modern and had all essentials including iPOD dock.

It was great to have the kitchenette however, with a short two days we preferred to be dining out the whole time.

Location was great walking distance to the shopping centers, bars and clubs. This worked perfectly for us shoppers and diners! So we'd shopped til we could shop no more at Bourke St Mall, Melbourne Central etc then back to hotel for quick rest and refresh before we head out to dinner. Not having to catch a taxi to get back to the hotel was a huge plus! It was always a nice stroll back to the hotel from bars around town. It always felt safe, afterall its on a main street.

Can't rate much on service as we kept to ourselves and with value we got a great $150 per night deal via wotif.

Absolutely no complaints at all.
