“SF-ish Trolley In Melbourne”

A throw back trolley ride around the city the likes of the cable cars in SF, CA, USA. Fun

It takes you around with recorded commentary in a long circle.
A bit crowded on the Sunday we did it, so noise obscured some of the broadcast.

But you should take the trip on this for a least some part of it to get the experience. You wont be disappointed unless you totally despise public transit

This service is free for tourists and takes an hour to do one loop. You can get down at any place from where you can either take another bus or walk down to your place of interest. We used it on a Sunday with ease and map in hand. Very friendly service.

Meet at the Central Library at 10.30am and Matthew will take you on free 3 hour walking tour. He's great, you can hear him clearly and he's a knowledgeable guide. Only a 10 minute break half way through for the loo so have breakfast first. He deserves the good tips he seems to receive at the end! Well worth it.

For the backpacker or tourist just trying to get a sense of direction in the city, this is a great way to get oriented! The guide will meet you at your location or in the central Federation Square to begin a free tour. The tour takes you for a stroll by the water, through the CBD on main streets and through alley ways that have fun shops, cafes, and street art, past parliament, and the Goal. The guide, Taco, was informative of dates and facts and was able to keep the group interested with fun stories and jokes. It's a great way to spend a first morning in Melbourne!
