“great view”
Reviewed 23 June 2014

great venue to watch rugby league, and I am sure other sports would be great as well. Easy access to stadium and after the game it was very quick and easy to exit and short walk to public transport.

“Best Stadium in Melbourne perhaps even Australia”
Reviewed 18 June 2014

I regularly visit AAMI as a member of the Melbourne Rebels ( Rugby Union) Consequently, this year have visited Moore Park (Sydney) Suncorp (Brisbane) Canberra stadium and Ethiad (Melbourne- for the Wallabies v France match ) In my opinion, AAMI is the best stadium - you are so close the action, you see and hear so much. Post game the players are able to walk around the fenceline for photographs, handshakes and signings. Facilities are terrific although we do not generally buy stadium food anywhere. Transport is so convenient- you can walk from the city, or into the city post game- 20mins or get off the train at Richmond Station and only a few mins walk. Trams take you very close.
AAMI is a great size, the seating is comfortable, and colours of the seating very fresh- a great shade of green. The design shape of the stadium is magnificent from both the inside and outside. I love it, and its always a pleasure to go there ( better if you win of course but even if your team loses!) We are very spoilt in Melbourne with the variety of stadiums we have and although those born in Melbourne love the MCG- it is not the best really as you are just so far away.
The atmosphere at AAMI is terrific and its a fantastic night out.

“Another Sports Venue”
Reviewed 11 June 2014

AAMI Park is the place in Melbourne to watch Rugby and Soccer. In a city so dominated by Australian Rules Football it is nice to see other more well known sports given a chance. It is rare to see such a high concentration of sports venues. Nearby you have the Rod Laver and Hisense Arenas and close by is the Melbourne Cricket Ground. This stadium was built on the site of the 1956 Olympic Games. The stadium's unique roof is lit with hundreds of coloured lights each night.

“Fantastic Ground for Football (Soccer) and Rugby (Union & League)”
Reviewed 27 May 2014

Home of the Melbourne Rebels Rugby Union, Melbourne Victory Soccer Teams!
This relatively new stadium is purpose built for the smaller pitches required by Rugby and Soccer. You are much closer to the action than at the MCG which just doesn't work for any sport other than AFL (Ozzie Rules) or Cricket - its too big!
Its easy to get in and out of, is disability friendly, and has good clean toilet facilities. Like all Melbourne sports facilities, violence & racism isn't tolerated so its a VERY family-friendly environment.
The negative you probably won't be surprised to hear is that the food costs a fortune (but you can take your own) and beer prices are crazy (and you can't take your own!) - and they only serve mid-strength beer. You'll be broke before you get drunk!
However, catering aside, attending sport in Melbourne is incredibly cheap compared to Europe and the USA.
