Visited the museum while in Melbourne for meeting - world class collection of cameras but also a great way to show younger people how technology has advanced, made life smaller, simpler. Don't miss some of their gallery pictures on display - some taken by customers, some by employees and some by professionals. Worth the visit - could have spent hours. Hope to be back with grandkids.

Being a photographer and a beginner at collecting vintage cameras I was like a kid in a candy store when I stopped by this collection. There are thousands of cameras in this museum, situated on the second floor of Michaels Camera Store in the city. All the well known brands are there such as Canon, Nikon, Leica and Minolta and there are plenty of names I'd never heard of. Includes limited edition gold plated cameras, spy cameras, lenses, film plus lots more! This exhibition is free so if you're in the city allow around half an hour to wander round the display cabinets.
