I was given a present to attend this tour, and what a fantastic gift it was. In 10 minutes, Martin knew my interests in photography, my gaps in knowledge (vast), and what I was hoping to learn.
Over the next 4 hours he showed me everything and more that I needed and wanted. He found a way that suited my learning style to pass on his incredible knowledge and experience. I have a better sense of why I like the photos I do, and how I can take simple steps in composition, “film” speed, lighting and exposure to make better pictures with my new DSLR.
Time flies on the tour, but never felt rushed. If you’re lucky, you may even expand your knowledge of philosophy and bobsledding! I look forward to taking his follow-up workshops as soon as possible.
Perhaps a quote from a favourite philosopher of Martin’s sums up the feeling of this workshop “When you arise in the morning, think of what a precious privilege it is to be alive - to breathe, to think, to enjoy, to love.” (Marcus Aurelius)
