“Up close and personal with the animals”
Reviewed 2 May 2014

This zoo is fantastic. The enclosures allow you to get really close to the animals in a way that is comfortable to watch them for a long time. There are knowledgeable keepers all around, so we had easy access to ask questions about the animals. We bought a special access pass to pet the kangaroos, and it was great fun for our kids (age 6 and 7).

There are lots of places the kids can play and get their energy out as well - the "meerkat" home across from the real meerkats, the playgrounds. Footpaths are easily navigated by prams, and the variety of animals is first-rate. We loved it so much we bought a membership. We can't wait to go back.

“Whats there NOT to like?”
Reviewed 2 May 2014

Take a walk, and a photo, and be a child again: full of awe at the wonder of the animals, butterflies, reptiles, birds and "stuffs"....But take your time. Enjoy and forget the outside for a day

I loved it!
Amazing natural setting, well organized with maps to guide us through.
Plenty of species; requires a full day to see them all!
The animals are well taking care of and the environment is clean and beautiful.

“This is a Must!”
Reviewed 1 May 2014

Whether you are from out of town or from overseas, this Zoo is a must see. It has a "hands on" approach in most of the displays including educational shows involving the animals as well, so make sure to get a brochure at the gate for the timings. This a great day out with a mini fair in the summer for the kids. They also have music and various artists performing in the evenings during summer. A big tip, like every other zoo that I have visited around the world, the food vendors sell food at extraordinary prices, so make sure to bring your own. There are lots of gardens and grassed areas for you to stop and have a picnic.
