Stayed in the Langham last month, this month the Park Hyatt in Melbourne. Park Hyatt hands down. The location is quieter, down a lovely lane, adjacent to beautiful St. Patrick's Cathedral and alongside Fitzroy gardens and parks. Great area to go jogging or a lovely stroll. Easy walk into the City Center, without being alongside the more corporate feeling Southbank restaurants (and their outrageous prices). The room was spacious, with burl walnut walls and a huge bathroom with sunken tub and television for a relaxing bath. The bed and pillows were luxurious. The staff was friendly, prompt, and accommodating. The front desk took care of any need, and their restaurant recommendations included not just the usual ones, but great neighborhood finds. the conference facility was engaging and high tech, while the spa and workout areas were good. I thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of my stay here, and would go back in a Melbourne minute.

Room Tip: Try to get a room facing the Cathedral.

I stayed here for one night as a treat to experience the Spa and Restaurant with one of my teenagers for the sake of it. I've got to say the Restaurant which I've not visited for many years was by far the most exquisite dining experience I've enjoyed for some time. Prices were more than fair, not over the top. The Rooms were more than accommodating, nice furnishings, and all the accessories one would expect from a Hyatt Hotel. Cant rave enough about Radii! I'm going back for sure. Sensational ambience, the finest food and beautiful service. Thank you to Danielxx From Jo & Adi.
We also experienced an amazing aromatherapy massage, with the trimmings of the Steam Room and Sauna, Pool, Gym etc. The Perfect R&R if you reside in Melbourne or your in transit.

Room Tip: Not sure to be honest! We were upgraded to an executive suite, or something of the like! You kind o...

The Park Hyatt properties can vary greatly, but what stands this hotel apart is the location. Most hotels are in the CBD areas, but the Park Hyatt Melbourne is just removed from the downtown, in the leafy east end of Melbourne, close to the Parliament house and a short walk to the gardens and beyond to the MCG. If you want to access the city, it is a short walk and the trams run right past the front of the hotel down Collins Street, recognised as the Paris end of Melbourne. The hotel has all the polish and service of Park Hyatt's with very generous hotel rooms. The club lounge is very spacious and the service impeccable.

Room Tip: The club rooms are larger and offer access to the lounge where breakfast and evening drinks and cana...

I stayed at The Park Hyatt for a conference a couple of weeks ago and enjoyed my stay. It's a large modern hotel in the downtown area. The rooms are modern and very large and the bathroom is great. The bed was one of the best that I have had in a while, which did wonders for my jet lag. There's a lot to do around the hotel, whether you want to run out for some shopping or get something to eat in Chinatown or the surrounding area. While it in no way affected my stay and it's a very small thing, I noticed that the towels were frayed, which was surprising for a luxury hotel.

After returning from the Outback I arrived at the Park Hyatt Melbourne. I had a lovely view of the Cathedral across the street and green space. I almost didn't feel like I was in the "big" city. Lots of parks within walking distance and close to downtown Melbourne. Public transportation was easily accessible but I was happy to walk everywhere to enjoy the architecture of Melbourne. The rooms are spacious and offer every amenity imaginable. Once again, Hyatt staff does not disappoint. They are attentive, courteous and very helpful. I needed to arrange an extra room for a couple of nights for my nephew at the last minute and they made it happen. All the staff were engaging no matter what the time of day or night. Loved this hotel.

This is really the only place we will stay in Melbourne. The rooms are modern and clean, the fitness area and pool are world class, and I love the location.
And kudos to the hotel and staff on handling what could have been chaos… on our last visit to Melbourne, Lady Gaga was also in residence. The hotel did such a wonderful job of keeping the mayhem at bay while not killing the joy of her very enthusiastic fans!

Had a lovely room with spa for an overnight stay. Attending a function in the hotel itself. Room was above average. The only con was that the spa was not working but this did not matter as we were not going to use it anyway. View from the top floor was great. Breakfast the next morning was really good and covered all tastes. All in all the stay was great with no problems encountered at any stage. Will return again for another special occasion.

Room Tip: Check if anything is not working in the room prior to accepting it. South facing rooms have the best...
