Everything was really good, apart from the family running up and down the hallway very early in the morning - it seemed as if the parents had told the young children to play in the hallway (outside our room)

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I apologise for that the children were running down the corridor and if I may suggest when staying at any hotel in the future that you contact the Manager on Duty who will endeavour to rectify any excessive noise. Thank you again for your comments and I hope to welcome you back in the near future.

Stayed at The Parkview for one night to attend a wedding at a local St. Kilda Road restaurant.
Used a refuel package which included breakfast and a $25 fuel voucher.
The room on the 9th. floor overlooked the pretty cricket ground and was very pleasant.
The bed is to die for.Extra comfortable.
Couple of very small downsides-
1)The parking spaces underground are not designed for family sedans-ridiculously narrow.
2) Cannot understand why the minibar is locked? In my 30 years of interstate, intrastate and international travel, this was a first.
I didn't need to use the minibar, but certainly requesting staff to come up and unlock it is strange-would think it works against the Hotel turnover rather than encourages extra turnover.
Staff at front desk were friendly and efficient.

Room Tip: The higher the better for a nice view.

Thank you for taking the time to share your opinion on Trip Advisor. I agree that some bays in the car park are small however my front desk team are always willing to assist with parking if required. We started securing our Mini Bars some time ago which ensures when opened by room service that you have a complete and chilled mini bar ready to use. I certainly appreciate your comments and I hope to welcome you back in the near future.

Stayed here a fortnight ago and was pleased with the size and luxury of the room. One minor complaint: our massive king size bed sank in the middle because the two beds pushed together must have been slightly different heights. Didn't really matter because the bed was so huge there was enough room to be comfortable. We just avoided lying in the dip! We really liked being so close to St Kilda Rd and the city. The rooms are wonderfully sound proof.

On our arrival off a late flight, the dining room was closed, but we were able to buy quite substantial bar snacks for a decent price.

The room rate was good value, considering the location and facilities. All very clean, modern and well maintained.

Shani thank you for writing a review. I apologise about tyne bed being saggy as it sounds like to me that the mattress pillow top had not been fluffed as it is our normal procedure. I will certainly follow this up with my housekeeping department and certainly appreciate your comments.
I hope to welcome you back in the near future.

Loved the bed. Loved the dark curtains. Slept beautifully.
Nice room.
Dressing room area is a fantastic idea but takes away from bathroom size, need to walk around door to get to toilet. Sliding door would make it ideal.
Came back to hotel after Neon Run looking for a drink & some food, unfortunately bar was shut & room service ended at 10.30.
Brekky was yum.
Overall good value for $

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I was not sure if you were aware that Room Service is available 24 hours although the main menu does cease at 10.30pm. I agree that the beds are very comfy which seems to be a common theme with many of our guests. I hope to welcome you back in the near future.

We booked via Wotif with one of their inclusive deals.

The first night we had a very nice room overlooking the cricket ground. Bed was comfortable and we were pretty pleased. One issue is that they lock the mini bar (which can be unlocked if asked) but was a bit off putting even if you just wanted a Coke or similar.

Car parking is a little tight but with the tram stop out the front and St Kilda within walking distance you can just leave it in the car park.

We then stayed the following night to be put in another room that had single beds!! On questioning the front office staff she stated that that was a normal Wotif room and if we wanted a different room then we had to pay a $30 upgrade!!! Well we had to pay this as we are one of those married couples that still like to sleep together lol. The 'upgraded' room was exactly the same as our first night!! The check in lady said we must have got an upgrade on the first night.

So anyway if you book Wotif keep your fingers crossed that you'll get a nice room otherwise it will cost you a $30 surcharge.

Overall enjoyed our stay there and would consider staying there again.

Dave thank you for writing a review and sharing your experience on Trip Advisor. On reading your review it certainly sounds like you were upgraded on your first visit. Your second visit may have been a room without a city view but the bedding still should have been a queen bed. I certainly apologise for this oversight. I look forward to welcoming you back in the near future.

It was a beautiful place to stay, location in st kilda was amazing because we had our own car, and waking up to an amazing cooked breakfast every morning was just bliss, with staff ready to serve you like royalty. We will defiantly stay again.

Great location in a fantastic city and top level service. Rooms were well maintained and very quiet spot with ample of parking accross from the hotel. The in house parking was a little tight but plenty of carparks for guests.
highly recomended
