“Better than expected”

I was fairly suprised on how much better this hotel was than we expected! Considering our room faced the street front and we were only on the second floor, it was fairly quiet. On entering the room, it was massive! beautiful large bathroom as well. We dined in the Dish restaruant which was good, not the best we have had, but it was good. Our overall stay was pretty good!

We will certainly be back. This boutique Hotel has style and the location is excellent. the rooms are well appointed, breakfast is great. This Hotel has soul in a world of soul less brand hotels that technically may be better in other ways.

BF and I love our mini breaks at the Royce. We have always had friendly service and efficient check in. The dish has a great variety of breakfast that suits both our needs. We have now tried 4 different rooms so still looking to explore the others. The Amber room has a great vibe for a quick drink and bar snack. Will return again

I have stayed at the Royce twice - for a weekend away with my wife and on business. The rooms are well appointed and very comfortable. The location is great. We walked to the MCG for the footy and trammed to the Newmarket Hotel for dinner. A great experience.

Room Tip: Executive rooms with spa bath. If you want the spa - make sure you mention this in the notes - as t...

Hotel staff lovely on check in. When asked about Valet they let us know that street parking was free all weekend and therefore saved us money.

Original room had a queen bed but when I reminded them we had booked a king bed they were quick to move us to a room overlooking the gardens on the fourth floor.

Very comfortable room and lovely bathroom products. We're given a voucher for a complimentary drink in the hotel bar and breakfast next morning was included. Suitably impressed. :)

Wonderfully located at a former Rolls Royce showroom, this hotel exudes charm and class. The rooms were spacious, clean and well appointed. Staff were attentive and friendly and greeted us every time we walked past. Huge bathrooms, the rooms have balconies overlooking the great Melbourne skyline, the pillows and bedding were truly luxurious!! It was so hard to get out of bed!

The Dish restaurant however was a bit of a let down. Breakfast selection was limited- we asked for eggs benedict and was told that they do not serve it on the weekends as 'they were busy'. I looked around and at 630am on a Saturday, there were only 2 other people seated. Disappointing, however, knowing that we were in the food capital of Australia, we should have opted to venture out of the hotel and get a proper breakfast in Carlton, the CBD, South Yarra or even St Kilda. Oh well next time..We will definitely be back. Accommodation wise, excellent! Highly recommend for out of towers wanting to get out of the grid.

Superb rooms and renovation. Restaurant very good. Bar needs a little more atmosphere. However front desk staff need more personality and friendliness. Conference facilities and meeting rooms are well fitted. This hotel is under appreciated by the market.
