We booked a two room apartment through Flight Centre. They requested 2 queen beds. We checked in and were allocated a room on 8th floor. By the time we'd parked our car, reception had changed our room to 509, as the original room had singles in the second bedroom. I said we'd have been happy with the singles. It was for my dad, and he wouldn't mind, but she insisted we take 509. I'm still wondering if our original room would have been better! The kitchen exhaust was greasy and needed cleaning. Our view was a car park. The apartment was roomy, and beds were comfortable, but totally devoid of character.
Positives - location was fantastic, and the staff were very friendly. Well equipped kitchen. Large, fluffy towels; comfy beds.
Negatives - kitchen exhaust could do with a good scrub; warning about car park would be
helpful. It is in the basement off a narrow lane, and you need to drive into a car lift. We had hired a large car, and it was scary getting in and out!!; a vacuum cleaner was parked outside our room for about 3 hours - trip hazard, especially for my elderly dad; the unnecessary bed throw was disgusting. I left a note for housekeeping to remove it. The blankets needed a good clean. Shouldn't there be some sort of timeframe around this?More
