“Weekend away for Country couple”
Reviewed 30 June 2014

As a country couple going to Melbourne we found the location to be fantastic. It was easy to find coming from the South West of Victoria. It was 200 metres form Queen Vic market and an easy stroll to the heart of the city. Also as we had to go to the Royal Melbourne Hospital it was an easy tram or 10-15 minute walk. The Flagstaff gardens are over the road which we enjoyed a morning stroll through before enjoying the buffett breakfast. The food was excellent although the service, especially Monday morning was very ordinary, no coffee or tea.Maybe they were short staffed. Apart from that we found the rooms and beds very comfortable, clean and plenty of space in the studio queen room. Definetely stay again, will take bathers next time as the pool & gym facilities looked great.

Stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment. Overall great stay. Few little niggles with the bathroom not having any drawers or decent shelves to place your stuff.
Enjoyed the pool and WiFi. Room was ready when we arrived (10am) so it was fabulous to freshen up and head back out. It was a little noisy with construction at night and in summertime I think the rooms could get very hot with not having fans AC etc. Overall great stay.

Very close by to the Queen Victoria Market and also a short distance to shopping centres and food outlets. The overall hotel was clean, functional and was easy to access. The complimentary wi-fi, gym, spa and pool were a plus towards our stay.

Staff allowed us to check-out late at 12pm due to our circumstances and also, upon our arrival had our rooms ready! (Prior to the actual check-in time).

We actually thought they would have provided us with toothbrushes, so make sure you pack yours in :)

Stayed here for one night with a friend of mine, first of all I got the dates wrong so when I called on the night I wanted to stay to change dates the reception staff were more than understanding and didn't charge me anything to change the date so last min. Beds were so comfy! New large TV in the room, best shower I've had in a long time, big shower head with great pressure. Room service open till 11pm which was good for my friend and I. Down the road from flagstaff train station and a 7/11. Internet was fast and no extra charge. Very nice clean and modern hotel and would stay again

Cons; was looking forward to the 'hot tub' that was advertised.. There is no hot tub just an extra part of the pool that has 1 painful jet which wasn't even working when I was there.
That being said it was a very nice room and I would recommend !!

Really enjoyed:-
The location an easy walk to most things
Loved being so close to the markets
Modern room
Great view
Really good rate for a two bedroom apartment
Great well equipped kitchenette
Staff with great knowledge of Melbourne
Sky bus stops out front

Didn't enjoy :-
The second bedroom had no window, no air circulation and it got very stuffy
A lot of noise from the lift in that second bedroom
The lifts - they had minds of their own, changed direction mid journey, doors didn't open etc
The restaurant - we had a meal at their opening night - it was awful. I'd wait till all the kinks in the kitchen are worked out.

Enjoyed our stay but I did not enjoy the second bedroom. Would try a one bedroom or studio and ask to be away from the lifts. Too noisy.

We stayed here for a four night break in Melbourne.
The location of the hotel is excellent for most Melbourne attractions and particularly the Victoria markets just round the corner. It is also an easy 10 minute walk into the CBD & a 15 minute walk to the Etihad Stadium. The free city circle tram stops at the top of the street if you don't fancy the walk or taxis are nearly always available outside. We went to the markets most mornings for breakfast where you are spoilt for choice with great food.
The room was very clean and comfortable with good amenities. As many other reviewers have said...the bed was super comfy. The staff were always very friendly. We used the pool which was a good size for a hotel pool. We didn't use the gym but it looked like it had a range of well maintained equipment.
The only downside of this hotel is the lifts which appear to have a mind of their own at times and stop at every floor even though it hasn't been called.this sometimes also makes a long wait for the lift (& we were on the 19th floor so the stairs weren't generally an option!).
We had an issue when we checked out as some drinks had been out on our room which weren't ours. (We had paid for the drinks we had in the bar at the time). This was quickly resolved though and was due to a teething issue with their new restaurant.
Overall a great place to stay and we will be extremely happy to stay here again

We had a studio apartment here for three nights that comfortably slept the three of us. Enough good stuff has been said already about this place, so I will not repeat it. It is obvious that a lot of care has gone into designing the apart-hotel, and it shows. The pool is heated, and a great place to relax in after a long blustery day spent in the outdoors. Plenty of clean towels by the pool at all times. Fast check in and check out, a convenient location..... what else can I say? We had a good stay.
