Being a huge cheese fan, having the opportunity to taste such a range in the perfect conditions was a real treat.

Came away with some amazing stilton and will be joining their mailing list to keep informed of events as one of their tasting workshops would be fantastic.

Helpful downstairs and the upstairs grocer friendly and good information.

We were staying in Lygon Street and had the opportunity to try gelato at several ice creameries in Lygon Street but waited until we went into town and visited Gelataria Primavera at the Spring Street Grocer next to the European restaurant and the Princess Theatre. Unusual natural flavours like saffron, cardamon with nuts and buffalo ricotta with strawberry, that change frequently. Trust me--delicious. If you don't like this gelato, you should give up gelato. They also have pistachio, prickly pear, fior de latte and chocolate...and lots more. Oh, let's not forget the dairy free gelato and sorbets. Dee-licious.

This was close to our hotel and we were able to enjoy our preferred light breakfast of excellent fresh orange juice and really good "flat white" coffees many days. It also gave us a chance to look over their deli which is impressive in range and quality. On one occasion we popped in for a late morning sandwich. It takes a while for the latter to appear, but they were good and freshly made to order. I hope this does well as it offers variety and a range of unusual ice creams, fresh juices and the like. But it could do with more seating which is currently squeezed around the walls.

We were at the Windsor hotel near by and came here for great OJ and coffee.
The shop has great deli goods. Sandwiches take some time to make in the back kitchen and are expensive.
Downstairs has one of the best cheese counters in town and a huge unfurnished room begging to be a cafe I would say.
Only problem is few and poor seating round the front door.

This grocer has some of the highest quality meat, produce, & food goods. Over the last few months the prices have gone up, but in the main are priced appropriately. Must try the juice and delicious gelati!
