“Great footy trip”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 August 2013

We had a fabulous 4 days in Melbourne. We have an 8 month old baby and the Quest Docklands were fantastic! We had a port a cot all set up for us on arrival and having a one bedroom unit, it was great to have a kitchenette and laundry.
Our balcony over looked Bourke street.
The staff were all fantastic and i loved the location, being close to Southern cross station and Ethiad.
Would definately recommend this.

I had the pleasure of staying at Quest Docklands last Friday night so that i was close to the footy game that I wanted to go to at Etihad Stadium. I have nothing but praise for staff members that I had contact with, from the Reception staff, to the Housekeepers and also the laundry workers.

The greatest thing that they all did was return my phone charger to me by mail this week as I had stupidly left it in the wall when I left on Saturday morning. I didn't hold much hope for it when I rang on Sunday about it when I discovered it was missing. However, they tracked it down and I received it in the mail today, 4 days later. Sensational service!! Thank you Quest Docklands. The complimentary upgrade to a 2 BR room was also very good of them, and the room was great. I can't praise the Quest enough and will definitely be back when next I visit Melbourne.

Room Tip: If you are a footy fan, request a room overlooking Etihad Stadium, and watch the fans arriving and a...

My partner & I stated here for a special occasion and had a great night. Rooms are lovely & clean. We had another couple visit us for drinks and snacks before heading out in docklands, and they commented on how nice the room was. The front desk was very accommodating, helpful and happy to have a laugh. I was very happy with our stay and recommend it if your planning an enjoyable stay in melbourne.

I stayed in a studio room and found the overall experience to be great. My studio was roomy and had a kitchenette with a two hotplate stove, microwave and small fridge. The room and bathroom were very clean as were the utensils and pots in the drawers. There was a flatscreen tv, writing table and lamp. The studio décor was modern with a queen size bed and full length mirror on the wardrobe.

The bathroom was large and included a washing machine, dryer, iron and ironing board. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, body lotion, shower cap and hair dryer were provided. There were some dining options nearby that could be charged back to the room. There is also the option to borrow dvds, magazines and newspapers from the lobby. Front desk was helpful and staff are friendly - they always say hi when they walk past you. I would definitely stay here again for work.

My husband and I stayed in a two bedroom apartment last weekend and we were very happy overall. The room was spacious and modern with separate areas for the kitchen and lounge. Off street parking under the hotel was very handy. It was in a great location to walk to dinner in town within 10 minutes. In our dealings with the staff they were very friendly and helpful. Thanks for providing us with such a great night!

Dear Michelle V

Thank you for your wonderful review of the property and your recommendation, it is greatly appreciated.

Our refurbished Two Bedroom Apartments are ideal for extended stays or anyone who values space and convenience when travelling to Melbourne! With flexible bedding and the ability to accommodate a maximum of 5 guests, with the use of a sofa bed (additional charges apply), these apartments are very popular with families and groups.

Once again thanks for your recommendation, we look forward to welcoming you back to Quest Docklands!

Stayed during early May 2013 for one night and booked a two bedroom apartment. The room was excellent, had all the facilities we needed and location was fantastic. But that is all the nice things I can say. The customer service I received from what I assumed was the manager was down right terrible. We had planned to have a couple of extra visitors come to say happy birthday to my partner and had a bit to eat before going out later that night. When making the booking over the phone, we were told that was fine but the manager said that was absolutely not allowed and he would not allow it. Not even an apology to say someone else had made a mistake or anything. He absolutely refused to listen to our situation and refused to offer us any help when we asked if there was any other apartments or hotels that could accommodate our needs. Whilst talking to us, he gave us the "I'm right and you're wrong" tone. Because of him, we had to cancel our plans, making our night completely miserable.

Planning an event? Don't have it here unless you want to cancel your event and put up with a rude manager.

Dear Yulia B,

Thank you for your Tripadvisor recommendation and your high ratings for the two bedroom executive apartment you stayed in, the property’s location and the cleanliness of the property.

Our refurbished two bedroom executive apartments are ideal for extended stays or anyone who values space and convenience when travelling to Melbourne! With flexible bedding and the ability to accommodate a maximum of 5 guests, with the use of a sofa bed (additional charges apply), these apartments are very popular with families.

We take the business of ensuring that all of our guests have an enjoyable stay and peaceful environment to relax in seriously, especially after a busy day at work or after exploring all the wonderful things Melbourne has to offer. For this reason Quest Docklands has a strict no party policy. This policy is clearly outlined in the reservation confirmation agreement you and all of our guests receive.

Unfortunately on your arrival the Quest Docklands team had to enforce the no party policy as you informed us 15 people would be gathering in the apartment for a party. A gathering of this size would have impacted negatively on other guest’s accommodation experience, which is not fair or acceptable. We apologise if you feel we were not transparent with the strict no party policy upon making your reservation or in the reservation confirmation you received on the 3rd of May 2013.

We thank you for providing us an opportunity to reply to your concerns and apologise that your experience at Quest Docklands was not as you had hoped.

Kind regards

5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 April 2013

We stayed here in February 2013 whilst attending a conference in Melbourne. It was a 2 bedroom apartment - which is essentially 1 bedroom with an interconnecting studio apartment.
The rooms are modern and are typical Quest - well appointed, very clean and more than adequate for your needs. Whilst we stayed 3 nights and I was travelling with a work colleague, you could easily have a family of 4 stay for a week - there was a dryer, washing machine, dishwasher, not to mention 2 bathrooms and a good living room and eating area.
Docklands itself is a very contrary part of town. In the daytime, it is busy and is within easy walking distance to the western end of Melbourne's CBD and the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre, which is where the conference was located. If you're staying in Melbourne to go to the AFL, it is right in front of Etihad Stadium. In the evening, it seems to shut down early (at least, it does earlier in the week, which is when our stay was). Saying that, you are only a 5 minute cab ride to the Crown Casino - so if you're looking for somewhere to eat and don't want to walk the streets, you're not that far away.
The staff at reception were very helpful - a request for a late checkout (we were catching a mid afternoon flight) was no trouble at all.
All in all, it is a bit expensive relative to other Quest apartments I've stayed in - but that is also more than likely to do with the location. Saying that, if I was in Melbourne again and needed to stay in that part of town, I'd certainly choose Quest Docklands again.

Room Tip: Rooms facing Bourke Street can get a little noisy - particuarly if you like the windows open to let...
